However, according to such an engaging member, when both shojis are completely overlapped (door open state), the engaging member is hidden between both shojis and cannot be seen. However, as one shoji, for example, the outer shoji, is moved from the open state to the closed state, the engaging members on the inner shoji side are exposed, damaging the appearance. There is a risk of catching clothes, etc.

。Furthermore, according to such a retaining member, when the door is open, both engaging members engage only at the connecting stile portions of the shoji, which is extremely insufficient to prevent the shoji from swinging.

Alternatively, since it is engaged with each of the engaging members 23 of B and C over a length of 172, which is the length of the engaging member 23 (which is substantially the width of the shoji), in such a closed state, Even if the shojis A, B, and C swing sideways, it is possible to sufficiently prevent the shojis A, B, and C from swaying, and what is more, as the door moves from the closed state to the open state as shown in the opening in Figure 6, the steadying of each engaging member 23 is Of course, the engagement range of the single-shaped portions 24b and 24c of the member 24 becomes wider, and the effect of preventing lateral vibration increases accordingly.

たりすることがなく使用上安全である。As described above, the sliding hanging shoji of the present invention has a plurality of sliding shoji suspended on the upper frame for installing the shoji so that they can be opened and closed freely, and the lower end of each shoji lower stile is vertically disposed over almost the entire longitudinal direction. A member having an engaging member having a side wall portion for engagement, the total length of which is approximately equivalent to the width of each shoji, and whose central portion has a length equivalent to the width of the joining frame of each shoji. The steady rest member is formed in a substantially U-shape in vertical section, and the left and right longitudinal parts are formed in a longitudinal cross-shaped shape symmetrical indoors and outdoors with the central part in between, and each of the above-mentioned adjacent engagements Since the engaging side wall of the member is slidably engaged, and stoppers are provided at both ends of each retaining member in the longitudinal direction to prevent the steady rest member from coming off, each shoji can be completely closed. Even in the so-called closed state, the U-shaped part in the center of the steady rest member is located between the vertebrae, and the L-shaped parts on the left and right engage with the engaging members of the adjacent shoji with this U-shaped part as the center. Because of the structure of the steady rest member, when the door is closed, the central U-shaped part of the steady rest member is hidden between the vertebrae and the left and right L. The character-shaped portions are engaged with the engaging members of adjacent shoji doors and are hidden, so that when the shoji doors are closed, the engaging members are not exposed to the outside, resulting in a good appearance. Since the protruding part is not exposed, it is safe to use because it does not get caught.
