Claims

A contact device for a circuit breaker that opens and closes an electrical circuit, consisting of a movable contact and a fixed contact that the movable contact makes contact with and separates from, and that reduces the contact pressure between the surface contacts when the temperature rises due to heat generation. A contact device for a circuit breaker, characterized in that a contact pressure biasing member made of a shape memory alloy that biases pressure in an upward direction is fixed to the movable contact.
