Claims

A circular plate-shaped magnetic disk sheet having a spindle hole at the center and at least one index hole around the spindle hole is rotatably housed in a rectangular jacket, and a drive access window is placed at the center of the jacket. At the same time, an elongated head window is provided in a direction perpendicular to any one side, and a diameter larger than the index hole of the magnetic disk sheet is provided on one side of the long axis of the head window so as to be on the same radius as the index hole of the magnetic disk sheet. In a diskette having an index hole and a write protector having a rectangular notch on one side of the long axis of the head window, the jacket has a line of symmetry with the index hole with the long axis of the head window as a line of symmetry.
