Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent any decrease of output voltage as well as any charging between dry cells installed in a battery case by producing an open circuit when the cell is inserted with a wrong polarity by installing separators for preventing reverse connection in areas at which the dry cells are connected in series. CONSTITUTION:Batteries 5, 5a and 5b are installed in a battery case 1. The positive electrodes 7a and 7b of the batteries 5a and 5b are connected to the negative electrodes of adjacent batteries through the holes of reverse-connection-preventing separators 8 and 8a installed at the joints of the batteries 5, 5a and 5b. As the result, voltage is delivered to a positive terminal 2 and a negative terminal 3 thereby supplying a current to a load 4. When the polarity of the battery 5a or 5b is reversed, their negative electrodes are not connected through the separator 8 or 8a and the whole circuit comes to be in an open circuit state. As the result, no voltage is delivered to the positive and the negative terminals 2 and 3 thereby securing early notice of the mis-insertion of the battery. Furthermore, even when dry cells are used, there is no possibility of the dry cells charging each other because of the open circuit state, thereby preventing any secondary accidents such as liquid leakage which might be caused by the charging of the dry cell.

In the configuration shown in FIG.
When b is inserted, the battery is pushed by the electrode/spring provided at one end of the (-) side terminal 3, and the (1) IIl11 electrode of the battery 6 is connected to the (+) side terminal 2 of the battery case body 1. A current flows through contact 1 to load 4. The role of the protrusion 6 for preventing reverse connection is to connect the battery 5 (+) as shown in Figure 2.

The side electrodes are connected in reverse '1. Due to the prevention protrusion 6, it is not possible to contact the (10) side terminal of the battery case 1, and the circuit becomes an open circuit state, so no current flows to the load 4, which is due to the effect of the reverse connection prevention protrusion 6. appear.

It's too late.1 It's not just the normal state of light, it's (-) voltage, and (-) voltage is on the (+) side terminal 2 of the battery case body 1, (-) voltage is on the (@ side terminal 3). A voltage in the turret is generated. This voltage in the opposite direction can lead to destruction of the load 4 depending on the characteristics of the load 4. Furthermore, since it is charged by the battery 5kl and the batteries 6a and 5b,
Similar to the case explained in FIG. 3, dry batteries have the disadvantage of causing secondary damage such as leakage of d-liquid.

Structure of the Invention In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides protection against reverse connection in parts of the battery case where batteries are connected in series.
By providing a separator with a specific purpose, if the polarity of the battery is incorrectly connected to -C, an open circuit is created, which has the effect of preventing a drop in the output voltage and preventing the dry batteries from being charged by each other.

However, if the polarities of batteries 5a+sb are reversed as shown in FIG.
J 5b is connected, but the battery 515fL is in an open circuit state (the → side electrodes are not connected by the separator 8, the entire circuit), and the (+) side terminal and (-) side terminal 3 are connected. Since the L1 voltage is not output at the time, the insertion of the battery will be noticed quickly and reliably. In addition, even if you use dry batteries that are in an open circuit state, the charging action of the batteries will be lost, so the liquid used to charge the dry batteries will also be used as described in 11. Secondary disasters such as these can also be prevented.
