DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to the structure of a dot print head that prints dots by driving a print wire in the longitudinal direction.

Conventionally, the above-mentioned dot print head has been designed by inserting the printing wire into a guide pipe to prevent the printing wire from vibrating in the lateral direction.

Further, when a plate-shaped guide provided with guide holes or guide grooves is used, lateral vibrations occur in parts other than those supported by the plate-shaped guide, and the assembly work is troublesome.

Furthermore, with either guide means, there is a risk of breaking the printing wire during the insertion operation of the printing wire.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to suppress the lateral vibration of the printing wire during the printing operation and to facilitate the fabrication and assembly of the dot printing head.

The present invention will be explained below according to the drawings.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention, in which 1 is a printing wire, 2 is a printing magnet for driving the printing wire 1, and 3 is provided at the tip of the head, and the tip of a plurality of printing wires 1. A guide plate 4 for arranging the printing wires in a vertical line is a wire guide made of a permanent magnet and whose both outer surfaces form guide surfaces 4a+4b for guiding the printing wire 1.

The printing wire 1 is attracted and supported by the guide surfaces 4a and 4b of the wire guide 4 by magnetic force between the printing magnet 2 and the guide plate 3.

Therefore, even when the printing wire reciprocates in its longitudinal direction at high speed during the printing operation, it slides on its guide surface due to the magnetic force of the wire guide 4, and lateral vibrations are suppressed.

Furthermore, when manufacturing and assembling the dot print head, it is only necessary to insert the wire guide 4 inside the group of print wires, so the work is simple and there is little risk of breaking the print wire 1 during the work.

FIG. 2 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which the printing wire 1 is guided by a plurality of wire guides 5a, 5b and 5c.
Each of the wire guides c is made of a permanent magnet like the wire guide 4, and both outer surfaces thereof serve as guide surfaces for the printing wire 1.

Note that guide grooves for positioning the printing wire 1 in the vertical direction may be provided on the guide surfaces of the wire guides 4, 5a, 5b, and 5c in the above embodiments, or a wear-resistant thin plate may be attached to the guide surfaces. Alternatively, the printing wire 1 may be made to slide over it.

Further, in FIG. 2, only the wire guide 5b may be made of a permanent magnet, and the wire guides 5a and 5c may be made of a hard wear-resistant material such as ruby.

As described above, the present invention has the effect of preventing lateral vibration of the printing wire 1 while providing a structure that is easy to manufacture and assemble.
