Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for using shaft for installing a roll of paper in a unit and reduce cost and make the operation smooth by rotatably fitting collars, which are fitted in a cylindrical core of said roll of paper, to flanges forsupporting said roll of paper in a spool. CONSTITUTION:A spool 1' consists of flanges 4', which support a roll of paper 2 for recording. Collars 8 are rotatably fitted over the supporting parts 6', which are projectingly provided at the central part of the flanges 4', while the outer surfaces 9 of the collars 8 are fitted in the core 5 of a roll of paper 2. The flange 4' is made of a flexible synthetic resin, and the collar 8 is made of a synthetic resin etc. having smaller friction coefficient, respectively. The roll of paper 2 is installed on the flanges 4', through the collars 8. Thereby, the conventional shaft for installing the roll of paper 2 in a unit can be eliminated, the cost of the unit can be reduced, and the roll of paper 2 can be smoothly delivered.

Then, it will be attached to the device 3, but in this spool 1, the flange 4 is simply inserted into the core of 20 rolls of paper (8), so it is mechanically cantilevered.
Since the winding core has rough dimensions, it is unstable and lacks reliability, and since the metal shaft 7 is used, it is also expensive.

FIG. 4 shows the state in which the roll paper 2 is mounted on the device 3' using the spool 1' of the present invention. The device 3' has a tray structure with a triangular cross section, and the roll paper 2 with spools 1'' inserted on both sides is simply placed on the tray. Then, the recording paper is moved in the direction of arrow B. The roll paper 2 is pulled out and rotates in the direction of arrow C. At this time, as described above, the roll paper 2 rotates lightly with the collar 8 interposed between it and the flange 4'', so that the recording paper The drawer is drawn out smoothly, skewing and jamming can be prevented, and the motor torque required for drawing out is small, so a small and inexpensive motor can be used.
