Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease weight, increase strength, reduce cost, and facilitate replacement and maintenance by forming a clamp house having a knob hole at the bottom of a metal cylinder proper in a unit and removably fitting it to the bottom of the proper. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder proper 11 serving as a tool pot is almost made of metal, and a synthetic resin ring 13 matching the tool holder taper is provided at its upper edge section 12 to reduce the weight. A steel ball 19 supporting a knob 16 inserted into the central knob hole 17, a lock ball 20 preventing the knob from dropping, a lock pin 21, and their related parts are stored in a clamp house 18 unit, which is fitted/removed via a stop ring 23. A tool holder 15 is locked in the cylinder proper 11 via the lock pin 21 elastically supported by a plate spring 24 outside the bottom 14 of the proper, thereby the pin 21 is not required to be supported from inside the tool pot taper, thus the construction is simplified and the weight is reduced.

Description

となる円筒状ピン(4)からなるツールボットチエンで
あり、この円筒状ピン(4)は金属製ピン(5)とその
内部の樹脂製テーパー状ツールポット(6)から構成す
る。樹脂製テーパー状ツールポットは軽量化のために使
用されているから金属製ピン(5)の肉厚を薄くしてい
るのであり、そのためテンションにより変形することが
ある。また、フェノール樹脂等の樹脂製テーパー状ツー
ルポットではノブ穴(7)やロックピン穴入口(8)が
強度的に弱いのでその部分だけ金属を入れているから、
加工費が嵩む結果となっている。
