Abstract

PURPOSE:To connect plural sets of equipment at free positions by providing a series-parallel conversion part which is sandwiched between the upper and lower structures of carpeting such as a rug. CONSTITUTION:A parallel signal line 1 and a parallel signal line connector 2 are sandwiched between the upper structure 8' and lower structure 8'' of a carpet 8 and led out of a flank of the carpet. A control signal from an external signal line 3 to an equipment 7 with an interface 7 is led out of an information outlet 4 through a serial signal line connector 5 and a carpet external signal line 6 and converted by the series-parallel conversion part 15 into a parallel signal, which is transmitted to the equipment 7 through the parallel signal line 1 and parallel signal connector 2 in the carpet. The response from the equipment 7 is sent in the course opposite to said course.

Traditionally, there are two ways to wire signal lines in the home: burying the signal line in the ceiling, under the floor, or in the wall, or wiring it along the surface of the wall or pillar, etc. In the former case, Wiring work is required, and especially in the case of an existing house, it will involve extension and renovation work.

Furthermore, when wiring signal lines using a carpet, the structure of the carpet cannot be used to sandwich very thick cables or signal lines, and thin, flat signal lines are used.
High-speed signal transmission had the disadvantage of a two-wire OJ capability due to the characteristics of the line.

``Structure of the Invention'' - In order to achieve the object described above, the present invention provides a carpet or other rug, and a carpet that is sandwiched between an upper layer structure and a lower layer structure of the rug, and that is branched in the shape of a bus route and that has a plurality of rugs. A pair of parallel signal lines, a serial number parallel bidirectional signal transmission converter (hereinafter referred to as serial-parallel converter) for connecting the parallel signal lines to an external signal line, and a bus route-like section divided within the rug. Connect the connection part for connecting to the external signal line to the branch end of the branched parallel signal line,
It has a signal line for connection between interfaces consisting of a connection connector taken out on the surface of the rug. According to this configuration, by connecting the external signal line and the serial signal line outside the rug with one information outlet, Parallel signal line connectors for connecting multiple devices can be placed on the surface of the rug, so signal lines can be routed throughout the room without the need for construction, and branch lines and information outlets can be connected to the outside according to the number of devices installed. This eliminates the need for installation work, and the device interface can now be easily connected to an external signal line via the mat of the present invention. It also has the effect of not losing its high-speed signal transmission function.

Normally, the microcomputer monitors the signal on the carpet external serial signal line (6), searches for a synchronization code at the same time as the signal arrives, and only when a synchronization code is detected, it continues to send predetermined data. Shift buffer (river) in Zanprinter with sample time of
The data is parallel-converted byte by byte, transmitted to the parallel signal transceiver, latched until the next byte, and output as data to the parallel signal line (1) in the carpet. After the clock signal line is output, the data is output.
Send a clock signal. The above series of operations ends upon detection of the END code. Multiple addresses corresponding to the parallel signal line connector +21 are registered in advance in the microcomputer, and if the addresses match after decoding the signal contents, after detecting the END code, the carpet is connected from the parallel signal line (1) in the carpet. The signal transmission direction is switched to the outer serial signal line (6), and the signal from the inside carpet/N6 parallel signal line (1) is a clock signal. It is serially converted by the parallel signal line transceiver (41., shift buffer aO) of the line 04] and is transmitted from the external signal line transceiver (9) to the carpet external signal line (6th line). The above series of operations ends upon detection of the ENI) code, and the transmission direction is switched. In addition, if there is no response from the carpet internal/N6 parallel signal line (1) after a certain period of time, the transmission direction or the carpet external serial signal line (6) is automatically connected to the N6 internal parallel signal line. The direction is switched to (1) and 9. '(I'll be waiting.) -

As mentioned above, the carpet of the present invention can simplify the wiring of signal lines in the conventional example.Second, it overcomes the disadvantage that high-speed transmission cables and signal lines cannot be buried due to the structural limitations of carpets. By providing a serial/parallel converter (15), the transmission speed within the carpet can be reduced.
In addition, a microcomputer was installed in the serial/parallel converter to enable advanced bidirectional transmission control in half-duplex bidirectional transmission.
