Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform marking so that printing does not become blurred by the surface smoothness of an IC-package, by projecting chargeable ink particles to an IC-package side while charging and deflecting the same. CONSTITUTION:When an ink head assembly 2 is excited by ultrasonic waves from quartz 3, F-numbers/sec of small ink droplets 16 are projected from a nozzle in succession in synchronous relation to exciting frequency F. The small droplets 16 are charged by a charging plate 4 to which a video signal is applied but, when the exciting frequency is too high, charging can not be performed well and, therefore, F/2 is lowered in order to charge the small droplets 16 at every other droplet. The deflection in a Y-axis direction is performed by a deflection electrode 8 and because only necessary dots are charged by a character pattern and the other dots are not charged, non-charged droplets are blocked by a barrier plate 12 and not projected to the surface of the IC-package 9. The displacement in an X-axis direction is performed by the movement of an ink head to a traverse direction.

The present invention was made in view of the above circumstances, and it is possible to mark without using a stamp or applying mechanical pressure to the IC notch, and without blurring the printed characters due to the smooth surface of the IC notch. What's more, it's an integrated circuit that allows printing to be easily changed using a video signal? The present invention aims to provide a Tsugaji electrostatic marking device.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has an ink head assembly, which is an ink container, excited by ultrasonic waves etc. from a crystal, and a chain of ink droplets (particles) synchronized with the excitation frequency is ejected from a nozzle. . This droplet is charged and printed at a charging rate to which a video signal is applied. The above droplet is a charging plate that charges only the necessary dots according to the printing pattern, leaving the others alone.
A shield is used to prevent electricity from coming onto the surface of the IC/4 y-cage.
