Abstract

PURPOSE:To automate polishing measurement by fixing a dial gauge equipped with an electrical contact onto a holder arm through an installation plate, in a polishing mechanism for a fine spherical-core lens having a small or medium diameter. CONSTITUTION:In an automatic polishing measurement apparatus, a lens (work) L to be polished is set onto an abrasive saucer 1, and a polishing holder 24 is set onto the lens L while, the polishing measurement value for the lens L to be polished is determined, and a control knob 32 is set. Then, an abrasive saucer revolving and switching mechanism and a mechanism B are operated. Then, simultaneously with the revolution of the saucer 1, a whole box swings, and the polishing holder 24 is pressurized through a holder shaft 20, and the lens L set between the saucer 1 and the holder 24 is polished automatically. With such a measurement apparatus installed, manual operation can be eliminated, and perfect control through automatic control is permitted.

Lens polishing devices that have been commonly used can be roughly divided into two types, depending on whether the direction in which the holder shaft (hairpin) is inserted always presses the spherical core of the polishing plate or not. The present invention belongs to the latter category, and is primarily an apparatus for polishing a lens by swinging a spherical core of a polishing plate. In these conventional devices, the center of the rocking motion is the lens R.
There are two methods: one in which the boulder shaft is swung toward the spherical center of the polishing plate R, and the other in which the boulder shaft is swung toward the spherical center. In the former, the angle of the lens changes, so pressure is always applied to the lens in an unbalanced manner. Therefore, if the reproducibility of the lens becomes worse, 7J

Since the polishing plate wears out very quickly, it is necessary to frequently readjust the plate R and readjust the swing angle and width. Further, although the latter poses no problem in the case of a concave lens, many problems arise when polishing a convex lens.

Therefore, the applicant of the present application has developed a system to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks and problems based on the results of many years of research, and has previously filed a patent application (Japanese Patent Application No. 74289/1989). That is, a drive shaft with a spindle is installed in the center of the cylindrical box, a polishing plate with a spherical recess is attached to the tip of the drive shaft, and a V-pulley is attached to the other end of the drive shaft. A polishing plate rotating/swinging mechanism (A) that rotates the polishing plate and swings the entire box in a pendulum shape via a bearing attached to a center shaft above the box.
and an abrasive holder fixing and pressurizing mechanism (B) in which a holder shaft to which an abrasive holder is connected is fixed to the upper part of the abrasive plate, and a holder arm with a spring for pressurizing is completely attached to the holder shaft. By placing the lens (L) between the polishing plate and the polishing holder of both mechanisms and polishing by rotating and rocking the polishing plate, the lens is always applied from the spherical direction to the polishing plate at any angle. The present invention has disclosed a lens polishing device which is capable of polishing in a stable state at all times because the applied pressure is always a constant pressure, and which aims to obtain accurate and high-quality polished lenses.

The automatic polish measuring device of the present invention is attached to the polishing holder fixing and pressing mechanism (B) of the conventional device, and 30 is its main body, which is a dial gauge with an electric contact. This dial gauge 30 has an electrical contact activated through a lead wire for taking out a signal, and is grounded to a measurement terminal 33 attached to the upper part. That is, the measurement terminal 33
The suppressing operation activates the electrical contacts in the dial gauge 30 to issue a stop signal. Reference numeral 32 is an adjustment knob for the electrical contact, and is an adjustment knob for predetermining the polishing measurement value. In other words, if the abrasion measuring device is set using the adjustment knob 32 to match the scale of the dial gauge 30, the needle will move to the adjusted scale by pressing the measurement terminal 33, and a stop signal will be issued. be. Reference numeral 34 denotes an adjustment bolt, which is fixed to the upper part of the tip of the measurement terminal 33 via a detection plate 35. This adjustment bolt 34 is for positioning the polishing measurement value by adjusting the length of contact with the measurement terminal 33, and is connected to the holder shaft 20 for detecting and operating the adjustment bolt 34. It is a single plate for interlocking. That is, by vertical movement of the holder shaft 20.

This mounting plate 36 fixes the dial gauge 3o to the holder arm 21, and by this fixing, the detection plate 35 fixed to the holder shaft 20 can be moved up and down. This figure shows the operation of the apparatus of the present invention, and is an enlarged view of the polishing holder fixing and pressing mechanism (B). To explain the automatic polish measuring device of the present invention in detail with reference to this figure, first, a lens (work) L for polishing is placed on the polishing plate 1, a polishing porter 24 is placed lightly on it, and the lens L to be polished is placed on the polishing plate 1. Determine the polishing measurement value and set the adjustment knob 32. Next, the polishing plate rotating and swinging mechanism (4) and the polishing holder fixing and pressing mechanism (B) are activated.

Then, as the polishing plate 1 rotates, the entire box swings, and the polishing holder 24 is pressurized via the holder shaft 20.
The lens L in between will be polished automatically. When the dial gauge 30 is polished up to the point I on which the measured value has been set in advance, the polishing plate 1 automatically stops when the needle moves to the desired scale (S). At the same time, the pressurization of the holder shaft 20 is also stopped at the same time. In other words, if the lens L is polished by (B), the adjustment bolt 34 moves downward and presses the measurement terminal 33 by (M), so that the measured value becomes equal to (M). This is possible.
