PURPOSE:To normally perform dry-burning of a soaked wick and to effect simple adjustment of a combustion amount, by a method wherein the contact area of a fixed wick with a moving wick is varied according to the moving distance of the moving wick. CONSTITUTION:The lower part of a fixed wick 7, positioned below inner and outer flame tubes and supported by inner and outer trays 8 and 9, is formed in the shape of a wedge so that a contact area is varied when the fixed wick makes contact with a moving wick 10 made of a fiber material. Meanwhile, a moving device 11 for the moving wick 10 is moved along the moving wick 10 and inner and outer guide tubes 12 and 13. This constitution facilitates adjustment of a combustion amount, reduces a fire-extinguishing time, and besides, brings the fixed wick into a condition in which the soaked fixed wick is dry- burnt during fire-extinguishing, resulting in minimizing of deterioration of a combustion condition due to adhesion of tar.

を必要とすること及び消火時間が長いという欠点があっ

た固定芯でありその下部は繊維物質からなる移動芯10
と接触する際に移動距離によって接触面積がかえられる
ようくさび状になっている。11は移動芯10の移動装
置であり移動芯10内,外室内筒12,13に沿って動
かされる。14は燃料タンクである。

果燃焼量の調節巾も大きくとれる。消火するときには移
動芯10が固定芯7から離れる程低下させれば良いが固
定芯7の容積が小さいので消火時間が短く、しかも消火
時には固定芯7が常に“から焼”状態になるのでタール
付着による燃焼状態悪化の問題も起り難い。
