Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent fur by using a disinfectant for washing water in a washing process. CONSTITUTION:Fur is essentially composed of filamentous bacteria and suspended matters in water attached to them, and creosote and cresol are selected for use in a disinfectant to sterilize the bacteria. An X-ray photographic film F is developed by sliding between developing racks in a developing bath 1, and sent to a fixing bath 2, and then to a washing bath 3. A cresol soln. 11 is sucked into a feed pipe 7 from a receptacle 10 by the action of an ejector, and its flow rate is controlled with a needle valve 12. The cresol soln. 11 mixed with the feed water exerts sterilization effect to prevent fur. When a flowmeter 6 is arranged after the addition of the cresol soln. 11, occurrence or attachment of fur in the meter 6 is also prevented to facilitate confirmation of flow rate.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an automatic processing method for photographic materials, and more particularly to an automatic processing method for photographic materials that can prevent limescale from forming in water and washing water in the process.

For example: When X-ray photographic JILM & optical materials are developed after exposure, they are often processed in an automatic processor. That is, in a developing tank, a fixing tank, a washing tank, etc., the image is developed through the steps of development, fixing, washing, and drying. When developing using the sound of an automatic processor, it is usually desirable to drain the water from the washing tank at the end of each day's work. 4. However, in facilities such as designated emergency hospitals that urgently perform X-ray photography and require the results, it is necessary to keep an automatic processor always ready for processing (standby). In such a case, the washing water cannot be drained and must be used continuously.I7. Must be. If the state of not washing water and draining continues for a long time, limescale will form in the washing tank, causing various problems. That is, when photographic film is processed, limescale adheres to the film surface, which interferes with the interpretation of the photograph. Also, when the film passes through the washing tank, slipping occurs in the washing rack, leading to transport failure accidents. In addition, the washing tank and washing rack become dirty, making cleaning a hassle.Furthermore, if a solenoid valve is used in the water pipe, limescale can clog the solenoid valve and prevent the washing water from being sent. This causes various problems such as running out of water or not being able to stop the flushing water.

The present invention is intended to solve the problems peculiar to the automatic processing of photographic materials as described above, and its purpose is to provide a photographic printing method that can prevent limescale from forming in the washing water during the washing process. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for automatically developing materials.

As the fungicide in the present invention, creosote and cresol are most preferred. Limescale is mainly composed of filamentous bacteria, and is formed by the adhesion of floating substances such as U in the water. Therefore, by sterilizing the filamentous bacteria that play a central role, the formation of water scale can be prevented. In order to sterilize it, the present invention uses creosote and cresol as the most preferred sterilizing agents.

That is, the disinfectant in the present invention also includes chlorine and hypochlorite (hereinafter referred to as chlorine, etc.).However,
The use of large amounts of these substances not only adversely affects the photographic performance of the developed film due to the accumulation of chlorine ions, but also causes the following disadvantages. That is,
Since the existing washing tank is made of iron plates, there is a problem in that the tank corrodes when chlorine or the like is used, making it impossible to use chlorine or the like as a disinfectant for a long period of time. Therefore, it is possible to consider modifying the tank to a corrosion-resistant Aiga, but in that case, the cost of modification would be considerable. Therefore, it is desirable to use a non-corrosive disinfectant so that existing equipment can be fully utilized. There is also the issue of water pollution regulations. This is the first time that creosote and cresol are used.
This is the reason.

第2の理由である。
That is, at designated emergency hospitals, X-ray photography and development processing are always required. In such hospitals, cost must be carefully considered when selecting a disinfectant. Therefore, cresol, which is stocked in large quantities in hospitals for disinfection purposes and is inexpensive and easily available, may be used. Furthermore, if cresol waste used for hand disinfection is used, there will be no need for utility costs. This is the second reason for using cresol.

Furthermore, when cresol is used, the BOD component in the wastewater increases, so treatment of the wastewater after discharge outside the system must be considered, but designated emergency hospitals generally do not have these wastewater treatment facilities. There is no particular problem because it is.

In this way, the cresol liquid 11 exhibits a bactericidal action and prevents scale from forming in the washing water. If the flow meter 6 is installed after the addition of the cresol liquid 11 as shown in the figure, the generation or adhesion of water scale inside the flow meter can be prevented and the flow rate can be easily checked.

In addition, the transportability of the film is improved because no limescale is generated.
This will also help prevent accidents. Furthermore, the washing tank and washing rack can be prevented from becoming dirty, and the automatic developing machine can be cleaned easily.
