へ供給して被写体の温度分布像を表示するようにしたサ
ーモグラフィ装置において、前記集光手段の焦点距離を
掃引変化させる手段と、被写体上の特定部分を指定する
部分設定手段と、該特定部分を前記表示手段へ表示させ
る手段と、該設定手段の出力に基づき赤外線映像信号か
ら前記特定部分に対応する映像信号を取り出す手段と、
取出された映像信号から焦点に関する情報信号を得る手
段と、該情報信号が最適値を示す時の前記集光手段の焦
点距離に対応する−    信号を記憶する手段と、該
記憶手段に記憶された信号に基づいて前記集光手段の焦
点距離を前記情報信号が最適値を示した時の値に設定す
るための手段とを設けた焦点合わせ装置。
