Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a switchboard connection system and to improve both operability and reliability by including a switchboard which performs the exchange connection into an exculsive time division switch and having an exchange connection of mutual calls between an automatic telephone exchange and the switchboard via a time division switch. CONSTITUTION:An automatic telephone exchange 10A and a switchboard device 10B are provided to a telephone exchange system. A CPU 11A is provided to the exchange 10A to perform desired exchange connection and processing; while a controller 11B is provided to the device 10B. At the same time, time division switches 12A and 12B are added for desired exchange connections. Then a switchboard trunk 13 and plural switchboards 14 are included in the switch 12B of the device 10B. In addition, a digital trunk 16, an outgoing trunk 17 and an incoming trunk 18 are connected to the switch 12A of the exchange 10A. Then the mutual calls are exchanged between the exchange 10A and the switch-board 10B by switches 12A and 12B via a tandem connection of the trunk 16 of an in-channel style. This simplifies an exchange connection system.

In this way, the conventional switchboard connection system uses the same time-division switch 2. Since a central control unit is used, not only does the scale of the automatic telephone exchange become large, but the software required to operate it is also complicated, and it is not easy to add services and functions.

In particular, since all switchboard operations and connection control are performed through the information reception and processing in the central control unit 1, it is necessary to prevent connection delays from occurring, regardless of the size of the switchboard. The control device 1 requires high-speed processing capability and large-capacity storage capability, which is not economical.

The 114 configuration of the switchboard connection system according to the present invention is such that a switchboard that performs switchboard connection for manual relay calls, international calls, reception/guidance calls, and other calls that require operator intervention is provided exclusively for the switchboard. The control device allows calls between the automatic telephone exchange and the above-mentioned switchboard to be routed through the time-sharing switch via an in-channel digital trunk tandem connection between them. It is designed to encourage exchange connections.

In short, by completely separating the functions of the part that only performs general automatic exchange connection operations and the part that only performs switchboard connection operations, and by performing the connection operations related to the switchboard via a dedicated time-sharing switch. This eliminates the need for unnecessarily high-speed processing capacity and large-capacity storage capacity in the central control unit on the automatic exchange side, reduces the scale of the equipment, and improves economy by simplifying the software. The present invention is intended to add functional flexibility such as the addition of services and functions on the switching board side.
