Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of a molten metal and failure in the stage of charging the molten metal by increasing the hardness in the joint part of a casting mold while performing alternately feeding of molding sand and squeezing by a compression plate plural times in the flask of the casting mold mounted with a match plate on which a pattern is attached. CONSTITUTION:A match plate 2 on which a pattern 1 is attached is mounted in a flask 3 of a casting mold and molding sand 4a is fed into such flask. The sand 4a is compressed with a compression plate 5. The sand 4b is again fed therein and is compressed with the plate 5. The second sand 4b flows to the part of the previous sand 4a having small strength thereby providing the strength uniformly over the entire part uniform. As the number of repetitions is larger, the degree of compaction is more uniform. Since the sand is uniformly compacted, the leakage of a molten metal and failure are prevented and the molding of a larger-sized casting mold is made possible.

せてスクイーズ(圧縮)・シ、上下鋳型を造型している
ものである。しかし、1回のスクイーズだけでは、模型
の上部位置と周側位置とでは鋳型の硬度が異なり、マツ
チプレーi・に接する部分は硬度が軟質となり、造型し
た上下鋳型の接合部が軟質であるため注湯時に湯漏れ等
を発生し易く、従ってマツチプレー)1/こ取イ]ける
模型の大きさに制約をうけ、充分な利用をなし得ない欠
点があった。

るものである。

クイーズすると、図面に示す様に2回目の錦紗4bは1
回目の錦紗4aの軟い周側部へなだれ現象を起しながら
スクイーズされ、模型1の周側部における硬度が向上す
るものである。
