The document surface 18 of the document 16 is illuminated by a fluorescent lamp 2 as document irradiation means.
The photoreceptor 10 is irradiated with light through an imaging optical system such as an optical fiber 22 having a lens effect.
The reflected image is formed on the photoreceptor 10, and the original image is sequentially exposed on the photoreceptor 10 from the right end to the left end of the original surface 18 in synchronization with the rotation of the photoreceptor 10. In the developing device 24, toner sticks to the photoreceptor 10 according to the charge distribution of the electrostatic latent image generated on the photoreceptor 10 by exposing the original surface image, and a developed image is formed on the photoreceptor 10. This developed image is transferred onto the plain paper 11 by the transfer charger 25 to create a copy image.
It is needless to say that the copy image formed as described above has a one-to-one correspondence with the original image.

On the other hand, when copying an image of a manuscript, basically it is based on the image of the manuscript surface, and the part V (in other words, the date of copying, the manuscript title, or the page number on copy paper for multiple manuscripts). If you are able to add a new copy image, such as an image, or correct, change, or delete an image that has already been written on the L'! It is possible to obtain effects such as eliminating the need for correction, and it is of great value as a new additional function to electrophotographic devices. However, in the conventional electrophotographic devices mentioned above, The copied image could not be tampered with, and even in the worst case, the entire image of the original surface was simply mapped as a duplicated image.

When masking a quadruple rectangular ACBD with D (X+, Y2), the first exposed part is Y-Y on the Y axis.
When the photoreceptor 100 is at the position 1, the light transmittance of the light transmittance member 31 corresponding to the area between X = X1 and X = The Nyanotar control circuit 35 is operated. The first exposure progresses sequentially along the Y axis, and the Hikari Nyanota member 31 is held in the above state with the ox at the position where Y=Y2, and the Y
After the position=Y2, the light transmittance of the full-light beam 31 is maximized, and the first exposure is performed over the entire width of the document surface 18. In constructing the structure as described above, the first exposure is not performed inside the binary printing form AGBD, and the electrostatic charge added (=j) to the photoreceptor 10 by the charger 14 does not disappear. On the other hand, an electrostatic a image corresponding to the image on the document surface 18 is formed outside the rectangle ACBD.Next, a process for additionally forming a required image within the rectangle ACBD;
Necessary character information etc. are input using the keyboard 42 etc. provided in the control unit 34, and according to this input information, the point where Y=Y+ of the rectangle ACBD is located at the light emitting diode 32.
This is realized by blinking the light emitting diode 32 within the section XlX2 from the time when the second exposure position is reached to the time when the point Y=Y2 is reached.

At this time, it is of course possible to selectively erase the document surface image within the rectangular ACBD by causing the light emitting diodes 32 within the above section to emit light from the entire surface with a sufficiently large exposure amount. If a selection section is provided for selecting and instructing the operation mode of the light emitting diode M 32, that is, the mode of the image to be added, the range of additional functions can be further expanded. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the first exposure of the document surface image is masked by attaching the optical fiber 22 to the lower end surface of the optical fiber 22. Kozuki 20 and manuscript surface 18
Of course, there is no problem even if V (== is provided), or even if the document surface 18 is directly masked to prevent reflection of the irradiated light, the effect of the present invention will not be impaired.

FIG. 4 is a front view of main parts showing another embodiment of the electrophotographic apparatus of the present invention. In the actual Ni example shown in FIG. 2 mentioned above, a light emitting dion (which itself emits light) is used as the photoreceptor irradiation means, and the second exposure amount is changed by blinking the light emission or adjusting the number of light emissions. On the other hand, in the fourth and first embodiment, a fluorescent lamp 44 is used as a light source for irradiating the photoconductor, and this fluorescent lamp 44 is a light source that controls the amount of light irradiating the photoconductor 10. The photoreceptor member 46 is provided in an array along the width direction of the photoreceptor 10. As the light shutter part layer 46, the same material as the /ζth light shader member 31 for masking the first exposure can be used. However, in this embodiment, the fluorescent lamp 44 as a light emitting body and the light shutter part layer 46 are separated, thereby making it possible to improve the small size of the previous embodiment. In addition to making it possible to increase the amount of light emitted from the light emitter compared to when using a single light emitting diode, the size of one shutter element in one layer of the optical shank can be increased, especially when piezoelectric elements or liquid crystals are used. can be made smaller than the size of the light emitting diode. Furthermore, since the switching time of the optical soter can be shortened, when dividing the photoreceptor surface into multiple pixels as described above, it is possible to divide the photoreceptor surface into smaller pixels, and each smaller pixel can have a higher resolution. This has the effect of making it possible to perform the second exposure adjustment. Furthermore, since the fluorescent lamp 44 as the light source for irradiating the photoconductor described above is basically the same as the fluorescent lamp 20 as the document irradiation means, It is also possible to use the fluorescent lamp 2o together and omit the fluorescent lamp 44.

Of course, it is also possible to copy the entire document surface image by not performing the masking operation of the first exposure of the optical gloss printer 31 as the above-mentioned masking means. Part) 1', a detection means for detecting the operating state of A31 is provided, and when it is detected that the light shutter member 31 cannot be operated, the second exposure by the photoreceptor irradiation means is also stopped. By interlocking with the control unit 34 so as not to operate, the operation during full-page copying can be simplified and made even more convenient. Figure 5 shows an optical shutter member cut along a plane parallel to the light incident direction A.
This is a cross-sectional view showing a substrate in which an electrode 62 for applying an electric field is provided on a transparent ceramic plate 60 such as PLZT, and the front and back sides of the main surface of the substrate through which light passes. A polarizing plate 64 having mutually orthogonal polarizing axes on both sides.
.. 66 has a sandwiched structure. Now, the electrode 62b
When 620 and 620 are grounded and a required potential is applied to 62d, no electric field is applied between electrodes 62b and 62C, so the incident light is blocked by the two polarizing plates, and electrodes 620 and 62d
Since an electric field is applied between them, the incident light is transmitted through the action of the electro-optic ceramic.

Effects of the Invention As described above, the electrophotographic apparatus of the present invention masks at least a portion of the original surface image when forming and exposing the original surface image to be copied onto the photoreceptor, and the original surface image is placed on the photoreceptor. A masking means for creating an unexposed portion of the surface image is provided, and a photoreceptor irradiation means is provided for irradiating the unexposed portion with light, and the photoreceptor irradiation means divides the photoreceptor into a plurality of pixel areas. By configuring the photoreceptor to not be exposed directly to each of these pixels, an additional image that is not present on the original surface image can be formed in a part of the copied image, or an additional image that is not present on the original surface image can be formed in the copied image. It is possible to realize an electrophotographic apparatus having new image forming functions not found in conventional electrophotographic apparatuses, such as the ability to partially change parts.
