Abstract

PURPOSE:To coat fully an adhesive agent without causing dropout by providing a means for adjusting the flow rate of a coating agent at the center in a flow passage for the coating agent from the juncture between a flow chamber for the coating agent and a means for introducing the coating agent to the part of an inlet and outlet for a long-sized material. CONSTITUTION:The adhesive agent introduced from a vessel 33 in a pressure tank 32 into a flow chamber 20 is regulated in flow rate by a means 20' for regulating the flow of the coating agent to two split streams so that the adhesive agent is applied on a long-sized material or a beading blank material 2 which travels from an inlet 24 for a long-sized material toward an outlet 25 under the pressure uniform over the entire outside circumferential part of the bead line part 2a thereof. The adhesive agent is thus coated fully on said material without causing dropout and a distinct parting line is formed at the boundary between the part 2a and a fin line part 2c. The thickness of the adhesive agent layer is adjustable if the traveling speed of the material 2 or the introducing pressure of the adhesive agent is changed.

In other words, it is difficult to uniformly apply the adhesive over the entire surface to be applied, and it is also difficult to apply the adhesive neatly to the boundary line between areas where it should be applied and areas where it should not be applied (i.e., it is difficult to apply adhesive evenly to the boundary line between areas where it should be applied and areas where it should not be applied). In addition, it is easy to cause adhesive stringing, resulting in uneven coating, and it is also difficult to adjust the amount of adhesive applied.

The above purpose is to continuously coat a long object with a constant cross-sectional shape perpendicular to the longitudinal direction on a specific part or the entire outer periphery of the cross-section while the long object is running in the longitudinal direction. In a device for applying a coating agent, a coating agent distribution chamber into which the coating agent is introduced has a long object inlet and a long object outlet that allow the long object to run through the distribution chamber as if cut out or through the distribution chamber. The shape of the inlet and outlet is such that an appropriate clearance is provided for the coating portion on the outer periphery of the cross-sectional shape of the long object, and the coating agent introduction means is connected to the coating agent distribution chamber. In addition, in the coating agent distribution chamber, a long object is placed in the center of the width of the coating agent distribution path from the connecting part with the coating agent introduction means to the long object inlet and the long object outlet. This is achieved by the coating apparatus of the present invention, which is characterized in that it is provided with a coating agent flow adjusting means extending parallel to the running direction.

FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram of the coating apparatus according to the present invention, and FIG. 7 is an exploded perspective view of the vicinity of the coating agent distribution chamber. The apparatus of the present invention is equipped with a coating agent distribution chamber 20. The distribution room 20
preferably has a flat shape, and as shown in FIG. 7, the base 21
By joining the and lid portion 22, it is formed between them. That is, a recess 23 with a certain depth (for example, 1 inch) is formed on the surface of the base 21 that joins the difference part 22, and the surface of the lid 22 that joins the base 21 is a flat surface. In order to maintain the connection, the base portion 21 and the lid portion 22 may be screwed together at four corners. The coating agent distribution chamber 20 has a long material inlet 24 and a long material inlet so that the adhesive applied surface of the beading material 2, that is, one of the three striped portions 2a, can run in a direction substantially perpendicular to the flat shape of the coating agent distribution chamber 20. A material outlet 25 is provided. The cross-sectional shape of these 24 and the outlet 25 in a plane perpendicular to the running direction of the bead material 2 corresponds to the shape of the cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the three-striped portion 211 of the bead material 2, and its size The width is such that an appropriate clearance is provided to the outer periphery of the cross-sectional shape of the three-striped portion 2a of the welt material 2. Here, the clearance is usually 03~0
.. Although there are four tones, it can be determined as appropriate depending on the desired thickness of the adhesive layer, the viscosity of the adhesive, etc., and the inlet 24 and outlet 25 may be different. Since adhesive is not applied to the fin stripes 2c of the welt material 2, the only part where the long object inlet 24 and outlet 25 cut out the coating agent distribution chamber 20 is the portion corresponding to the three stripes 2aK of the welt material 2. . A portion corresponding to the fin strip 2c is formed as a slit 26 communicating outward.

When using the coating device for long objects as described above, as shown in FIG. to run in the longitudinal direction. At the same time, an appropriate pressure (for example, 0.5~
A gauge pressure of 0.7 kg/cfI is applied to introduce the adhesive from the coating agent introduction means 31 into the coating agent distribution chamber 2o. The adhesive introduced into the distribution chamber 2o is once divided into two streams by the coating agent distribution adjustment means 20', and then arrives at the long object inlet 24 and outlet 25, where the running bead material It is applied to the outer surface of the three-striped portion 2a of No.2. Since the three-striped portion 2a and the long article outlet 25 have a predetermined clearance, an adhesive layer is formed on the outer surface of the three-striped portion 2a exiting the outlet 25 to a thickness corresponding to the clearance. It is preferable that the entrance 24 for the long object has an appropriate clearance so as to act as a guide with respect to the three-striped portion 2a. Therefore, the long object inlet 24 may be formed with the same clearance as the long object outlet 25 with respect to the three-striped portion 2a. In Fig. 6, adhesive is applied only to one of the three stripes of the beading material 2, but in the actual process, adhesive is applied to the other three stripes at the same time using a 1 m long coating device. Coating is done.

According to the coating apparatus of the present invention, the adhesive introduced into the distribution chamber 20 is adjusted in flow rate by the coating agent distribution adjusting means 20' (i.e., the adhesive introduced into the distribution chamber 20 is transferred to a long object from the coating agent inlet 27). In the distribution path M of the coating material leading to the inlet 24 and the outlet 25, there is a tendency for a large amount of adhesive to flow near the center of the width, so once this flow is blocked, the flow is substantially uniform again. Since the pressure is applied uniformly to the entire outer surface of the three-striped portion 2a of the beading material 2, there will be no adhesive residue, and the parting line The three-striped portion 2a and the fin-striped portion 2c are drawn in a clear straight line.
