Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure an assured and stable contact between a disk and a magnetic head for a double-sided flexible disk device by crossing rectangularly the directions to each other for the degree of freedom of the magnetic head provided oppositely to both sides of the disk. CONSTITUTION:An upper head 40 opposite to the disk surface is attached to a gimbal spring 41, and the center part 42 of the spring 41 is supported by a support bar 43. The part 42 has mainly the degree of freedom to move on the basis of an axis 44 in the direction rectangular to the shifting direction (an arrow A) of the head 40. While a lower head 50 opposite to the disk surface is attached to a gimbal spring 51. を防止できる。また、キャリッジ、アームに対して磁気
ヘッドを取付ける場合、その精度を必要以上に制御しな
くてもよく、製造操作性が改善できるなどの効果もある
