Abstract

PURPOSE:To assuredly fold up the terminal end of paper in a paper folder of a printer or the like by swivelling a swing fin in response to a pseudo-signal longer than a paper feed signal after paper cutting and then restoring the fin to the initial position. CONSTITUTION:A flip-flop 24 is set when receives a cut command generated when a fold for cutting reaches a cutting position, and an AND gate 30 is closed by an output of O side to prohibit a paper feed signal from inputting to a digital control portion 22. A down-counter 23 is loaded with paper feed information and subtracted by pulse of an oscillator 21. Simultaneously, an oscillating pulse is input to the digital control portion 22 through an AND gate 31 and an OR gate 32, so that a swing fin 8 is moved slowly by a motor 26. When the terminal of paper reaches the forward end of the fin 8, the total output of the down-counter 23 goes to 0 so as to restore the fin to its intial state. Thus, paper can be assuredly folded up to the terminal end, so that the leading end of the following paper can be easily processed.

In FIG. 1, a continuous printing paper 1 discharged from a printing device (not shown) 2 is sent by a tractor 2 and guided to a swing fin 8 through the curves of a pair of rollers 31131.4 (14) and 5115), respectively. The paper is drawn, folded alternately front and back by the swing fins 8, and deposited on the table 9. 6 (16) is a guide.

Suppose that paper 1 is fed at a slightly faster speed. It is assumed that the roller 14 is normally positioned upward as shown by the broken line, and moves down one step as shown by the solid line when a cutting command, that is, a signal cut command, which will be described later, is generated. Roller 14 descends and paper 1
When the paper 1 contacts the roller 4 through the roller 3 (131) and the roller 4 (14), tension is applied to the paper 1 between them due to the speed difference between the roller 3 (131) and the troller 4 (14).Then, the paper 1 is cut by lowering the blade 7. .

It is controlled in accordance with the paper feeding speed such as 141. 2 to 5 show the swing fin 8 operating at the same speed as the roller 4 (14) and the roller 5 (15) during the termination process. Ugly 4 Swing fin 8 as shown in the picture
When the end of the paper 1 passes through the swing fin 8 on the rightmost lifting platform, the paper 1 becomes free between the folded paper 1 and the swing fin 8, and the paper 1 becomes free as shown by the solid line or broken line in FIG. However, it is not possible to reliably fold the end of the 14t i. Figures 6 to 9 show the swing fins 8 operating at a slower speed than the 6-ra 4 (141) and roller 5 (153) during the termination process. In order to forcibly guide the paper 1 toward the paper holder 9 with the swing fin 8, it is a good idea to fold the end of the paper 1 securely.

This will be explained with reference to FIG. 10, which shows the 9JT control circuit. The paper feed signal is a pulse that is generated every time the paper 1 is fed by a unit amount, and is generated, for example, from an encoder installed in the drive 1 (not shown) of the tractor 2. The paper folding length information indicates the length of the NC1 page, the paper feed information indicates the distance between the blade 7 and the swing fin 8, and the signal cut command is generated when the crease to be cut is located on the blade 7. This is a logic 1 pulse. 21 is the roller 4 (14) and 5 (1
5) This is an oscillator that generates pulses with a longer period than the period corresponding to the paper feeding speed. The counting control unit 22 controls a swing fin drive motor 26 via an amplifier 28 so that the swing fin 8 makes one reciprocation every time two pages of paper 1 are fed.
drive. The paper folding length information is input, and a paper feed signal is used before cutting the paper, and a pulse is generated every time a predetermined number of pulses are input to the Fi oscillator 210 after cutting the paper.

In addition, the down counter 23Vi is activated by the signal cut command.
When the above-mentioned introduction sending information is loaded, a countdown is performed by the oscillation pulse of the oscillator 21 inputted to the town input terminal. At the same time, the counting control section 221 passes through the AND gate 61 and the output 4'
Since the oscillation pulse from the hb 21 is input, the swing fin 8 is swung at a speed slower than the speed at which the paper 1 is fed out from the rollers 4 (11) and 5 (151).

The flip-flop 24 is reset via the ant gate 31, and the oscillation pulse is no longer applied to the B1 number control section 22. flip flop 24
When is reset, the 0 side output is #Iii+logical value 1 and is applied to the initial state control section 25 via the differential 191 path 29. The initial state control section 25 becomes operational when a signal of logical value 1 is applied from the differentiating circuit 29, and the encoder 27 attached to the rotation shaft (not shown) of the motor 26 is activated.
From there, the motor 26 is connected via the counting control section 22 and the amplifier 28 to detect the encoder bus indicating the initial position.

In the above embodiment, the oscillation period of the oscillator 21 is fixed, but the oscillation period from the oscillator 21 is made variable for each paper folding length based on the paper folding length information. By making the phase of the swing fin 8 and #'V1 variable for each length when processing the end of the paper, it is possible to set the optimum phase for each folded length of the paper. The end can be folded accurately and reliably.
