Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the copying paper housed inside a cassette body so as not to be affected by dust and other foreign substances at all, by making a cover part, which is installed in the cassette body free of opening or closing, into a state of being opened by means of a copy start signal, in a state of loading a copying machine body with the cassette. CONSTITUTION:At the cassette insertion part of a copying machine body loaded with a cassette device carrying a cover part on-off mechanism, there is provided with a cover part driving device 10 for sliding a cassette cover part 4 against resilient force of a spring 8 in time of copy starting and making an opening part 2 of a cassette body 1 into a state of being opened. When a cassette is loaded onto the copying machine body, the cover part 4 is left intact as closing the opening part 2 by action of the spring 8. Then, when a copy start signal is emitted, a solenoid 15 is energized to operate and thereby attracts a plunger 14 so that a lever 13 rotates as centering on a shaft 12 in an arrow A direction.
