Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve constant flow performance while to suppress production of foam by operating two plungers having cross-sectional ratio of 2:1 with same speed while shifting phase by 180 deg.. CONSTITUTION:Upon rotation of constant speed motor 1, a shaft 3 will rotate through speed reduction mechanisms 2, 2' to rotate cams 4, 5 coupled to said shaft 3. Consequently plungers 10, 11 will reciprocate with same speed. Since cross section of plunger 10 is twice that of plunger 11 while both plungers will reciprocate with same speed, carrier liquid is fed continuously with same flow speed to a separation column 15.
