Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a ribbon cassette which allows the inversion of a printing ribbon with a reduction in the running resistance thereof by providing a linear inversion section to the on-going direction of the printing ribbon. CONSTITUTION:A feed roller 14 and a hold roller 15 are provided on one side of a cassette case 10 and grooves 18 are formed on a wall 16 and a rib 17 on the other side to fit both ends of an inversion plate 19 into the grooves 18. The feed roller 14 is driven with a motor 14 to pull a printing ribbon 20 sequentially from outside with an arm 12 on the inlet side so that the printing ribbon 20 passes under the inversion plate 19 in a path 22 to invert it. As the inversion plate 19 is tilted to the on-going direction of the printing ribbon 20, the contact area and the contact friction is limited with the printing ribbon 20.

Conventionally, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, an endless printing ribbon (2) is stored in a cassette case (1) that has a built-in feed roller (not shown) on the negative side. On the other side there is a ribbon cassette in which the printing ribbon (2) is provided with an arch-shaped reversing member (3) forming a Möbius loop and a plate spring (4).The printing ribbon (2) is attached to the reversing member (3). ?:<It turns over while being shaken and squeezed, but
The reversing portion (3) is long along the traveling direction of the printing ribbon (2), has a wide contact area with the printing ribbon (2), and has a large frictional resistance. For this reason, the print ribbon (2)
The printing ribbon (2) will slip and the printing ribbon (2) will run poorly. Moreover, since tension is applied to the printing ribbon (2) by the leaf spring (4) upstream of the reversing section (3), the printing ribbon (2) contacts the reversing section (3) with a large tension. As a result, the running resistance of the printing ribbon (2) becomes even stronger.

Further, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, on the negative side of the cassette case (5) there is a reversing member (6) shaped like a twisted rod with a triangular cross section and a plurality of guide rollers (7) ( 8) There are also people who have trouble with (9). This reversing member (6) reverses the printing ribbon (2) while shaking the printing ribbon (21t), but it is also long along the traveling direction of the printing ribbon (2) and has a contact area with the printing ribbon (2). However, the drawback that the running resistance is large due to the large amount is not solved.

In this invention, a reversing section is provided in the running path of the printing ribbon in the cassette case, and the reversing section reverses the printing ribbon, but the linear reversing section is tilted with respect to the traveling direction of the printing ribbon. In addition, it is possible to easily twist the printing ribbon along the inclination, and to reduce the contact area with the printing ribbon, so that the printing ribbon runs smoothly, and to apply tension to the printing ribbon. By providing it on the downstream exit side of the reversing section, the frictional resistance between the printing ribbon and the reversing section is reduced, and the printing ribbon is configured to run and hang more smoothly.

This cassette case 00 has arms 0ηα on both sides, and the top surface is covered with a cover. A feed roller (141) and a presser roller α9 pressed against the feed roller 04 are provided on one side of the cassette case O (j), and a groove α (to) is formed in the wall OG and the rib 07 on the other side. A straight reversal plate 01, which is the reversal part, is attached to these grooves 01).
Both ends of the 11th frame are joined together. The reversing plate θ is set at f˜71 so as to be inclined at an angle of about 45° with respect to the direction in which the force of the endless printing ribbon stored in the cassette case Q+) is applied. Further, the contact surface 2Ht-J of the reversing plate 09 with the print ribbon 1) is located at a depth 11) that is one-fourth of the depth I of the cassette case 0(). The width (5) of the passage (c) on the exit side of the cassette case is set to a value that is approximately υ larger than the depth I. . A leaf spring (c), which is a tension part (a), is located on the exit side of the reversing plate (05i) and presses the print ribbon holder in the passage Q2.

In such a first case, when the feed roller 0→ is driven by the motor, the printing ribbon is sequentially pulled in from the outside by the arm α group on the entrance side, and the arm 0υ on the output side is pulled in sequentially from the outside.
Print ribbons are sequentially pulled out from the printer.

At this time, in the passage (22), the printing ribbon is moved to the reversing plate θ
9 and is reversed, but since the reversing plate θ [with] has an inclination of 1 with respect to the traveling direction of the printing ribbon, the contact area and contact friction with the printing ribbon α are small. Furthermore, by twisting the printing ribbon (2) in accordance with the direction of inclination of the reversing plate 09, the printing ribbon (2) contacts the contact surface Qυ flat without being partially caught, resulting in less resistance.

Furthermore, since the contact surface Qυ is off the center of the depth of the cassette case and closer to the bottom, the printing ribbon Ql is returned while being slightly curved. Compared to pulling the impaling bong in a straight line and twisting it 180°, the resistance against the contact surface Qη is smaller when it is twisted while being curved.

Furthermore, a leaf spring (c) that applies tension to the printing ribbon 0+i
is located at the downstream outlet 11111 of the reversing plate α, so the tension is small at the 11″rf point where the printing ribbon Qυ passes through the reversing plate (Fig. .

In this way, the printing ribbon beam has small friction against the reversing plate OC force, and therefore the printing ribbon beam is smoothly fed to the feed roller (141) without slipping. In addition, the reversing plate 09 has a groove ( Since the +81VC is fitted, the printing ribbon wire will not enter between the wall αG and the rib 0 force and both sides of the reversing plate 09). Still, the inversion board (
19) may be formed integrally with the cassette case 0.

Incidentally, when the reversing plates θ are twisted in the opposite direction as shown in FIG. 8, the character rihon υ may also be twisted in the opposite direction.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIGS. 9 to 11.
This will be explained based on the diagram. Note: The same parts as those in the embodiment are given the same reference numerals, and the description thereof will be omitted. A reversing member H is attached to the passage Q4. This reversal part consists of a pair of side plates (C) (C) that are joined to the wall OG and the rib 0η, and a reversal plate (B) that is a reversal part that is inclined with respect to these side plates (C) (C). and are formed in one piece, and slopes are formed on both sides of the contact surface QI) with the printing ribbon feeder.

Therefore, it is also possible to run the printing ribbon smoothly on the slope or by separating it from the inner surface of the rib α or the wall (1e) in the center of the passage e.Also, Side plate (c) QQ is for installation on wall or rib αno.
I am using the existing cassette case o as I am using it as n1.

Note that the protrusion Q formed at the tip of the rib α allows the printing ribbon (A) to slide smoothly, but the side plate Q→ is inserted between the other protrusion (G) and the protrusion ■9). The longitudinal movement may be fixed by fitting.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, this invention provides a linear reversing section with an inclination of I relative to the traveling direction of the printing ribbon, so that the printing ribbon can have a small contact area with the reversing section. In addition, by twisting the printing ribbon in accordance with the direction of inclination of the reversing section, it is possible to pass the printing ribbon smoothly through the reversing section with small frictional resistance. By providing a tension section on the exit side, the printing ribbon can be passed through the reversing section without applying a large tension to I4. (The frictional resistance can be further reduced, so the printing ribbon can be smoothly fed by the feed roller without slipping, and a Möbius loop can be formed. .
