Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the access time, by arranging sectors having the same sector address in spiral to decrease a shift in sector at track movement. CONSTITUTION:Data are written from a sector #0 of a track N and then recorded sequentially on #2, -#n, the track is shifted to (N+1) and the data writing is started from the sector #0, and when the disc is rotated in the arrow direction, and the position of the sector #0 is arranged by shifting the position by a distance where the sector of the track (N+1) is shifted while the head is shifted from the track N to the N+1 at the position of the sector #0. The position of the sectors is shifted sequentially and the track address 14 and the sector address 15 are arranged in advance on the disc as shown in a figure, the sectors of the same sector address are arranged in spiral. Thus, in recording and reproducing the data continuously, the access time shifting on the tracks is decreased.

Conventionally, in disk devices that record and play back digital data, sectors with the same sector address for each track are arranged radially, so when recording or playing back continuously, the next outer track When processing and moving to the next inner track, the target sector is passed through too much, so there is a disadvantage that access time increases.

If the disk is rotating in the direction of the arrow in the figure, the time it takes for the head to move the position of Seftana O from track N to N+1. The positions of seftana O are arranged by shifting the positions by the distance that the sector of track N+1 moves. The track address 14 and sector address 15 shown in FIG.
