Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce resistance by eliminating bilge keels and consequently increase the speed by a structure wherein the bottom and both sides of a ship are formed to be at right angles to each other respectively. CONSTITUTION:Both the sides 7 below draft are made vertically down to the bottom of a ship and at the same time the bottom 2 is made flat or made with no step from a bow 3 to stern 8 so as to form the bottom in a plane. Accordingly, both the sides and the bottom are set at right angles to each other at the respective sides, resulting in paying no consideration against rolling as is paid in case of a conventional round bottom and enabling to eliminate bilge keels.

Conventional ships have rounded bottoms on both sides, which causes them to sway, so rolling chocks were installed on both sides of the bottom to eliminate the sway, but when sailing, water resistance is strong and speed decreases. The high-speed boat of the present invention has no rolling chocks and has both sides of the bottom at an angle of 90 degrees, so there is no need to worry about rolling. Without a rolling chock, there is no water resistance, which increases speed.

1 Both sides of the ship's table 7 are from 3 meters above the bow line to the bottom of the ship. 2 A straight line from the maximum center of figure 6 to the bow 3. 1tL The stern is from the water line to the bottom 2 of the ship from the maximum point of 6 to the stern. It is constructed in a straight line up to the rearmost part of the bottom 8, and 9 in FIG. 3 is constructed at a 90 degree angle.
