Abstract

PURPOSE:To absorb vibrations generated from a printing head and a motor, thereby reduce noise and prevent printing quality from being lowered, by using a composite ferrite elastic material as a material for shafts guiding a carrier for the printing head. CONSTITUTION:The guide shafts 3, 4 for guiding the carrier 2 in a spacing direction are constituted of a composite ferrite elastic material. The carrier 2 is trasversely moved in synchronism with a wire-impacting action of the printing head 1, and the vibration arising from the wire-impacting action is absorbed by the guide shafts 3, 4 to prevent the vibration from propagating to a frame 5. Vibrations arising from a spacing motor 10 and a line feed motor 11 are also absorbed by the shafts 3, 4, so that the vibrations are not transmitted to the carrier 2 of the printing head 1.
