ローダ−と、紙をプラテンに沿うように案内するデフレ
クタと、ペーパーペイルローラーとデフレクタとの間に
位置することができるように配置されていると共にペー
パーペイルローラーに近い端部に複数の孔を形成してな
る補助ガイド板と、この補助ガイド板を保持していると
共に回動可能に配置されている保持部材と、゛この保持
部材を回動させるための回動手段とを有し、ペーパ゛
−ペイルローラーとデフレクタとの間のプラテレの
周面のほぼ全域と対向するように補助ガイド板を位置さ
せてこれにより紙の先端部をデフレクタからペーパーペ
イルローラーとプラテンの間へ案内し、かつ、ペーパー
ペイルローラーとプラテンとの間に紙の先端部が挿入さ
れた後にペーパーペイルローラーとデフレクタとの間か
ら補助ガイド板を離隔させることを特徴とする給紙装置
