In a radar device consisting of an antenna that emits radio waves and a drive unit that rotates and raises the antenna, the drive unit drives a rotation axis using a motor fixed to a pedestal, rotates the antenna, and rotates the rotation axis. A gear serving as an axis is fixed to a pedestal part, while a pinion gear that meshes with the gear is provided in the rotating movable part, and the rotation of this pinion gear is transmitted to a pair of bevel gears that rotate almost orthogonally.
