Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to provide a space for fitting in a light source part on a cassette, and to make a titled device small-sized, by providing a light source part for detecting a tape end so as to be movable up and down, at a posi tion which is shifted slightly from a cassette installing part, and shunting the light source part at the time of loading. CONSTITUTION:A tape end detecting light source part 5 is provided so as to be movable up and down by a spring at a position of the inside slightly from a cassette installing part, on a supporting lever 30 whidh is supported axially by a pin 32 of a chassis 2, and is made to press-contact with an L-shaped lever 35 for controlling a motion of the lever 30. Before loading a tape, a lever 35 is detained to a pole supporting base 14, and the light source part 5 is in a position P1 of the lower part, but when the supporting base 14 is moved by loading, the lever 35 is turned, the light source part 5 also starts to rise, on which a tape 19 passes through and loading is executed, and after its completion, the light source part 5 takes a position P2 of the upper part, and detection of a tape end is executed. Therefore, it becomes unnecessary to provide a space for fitting in the light source part on a cassette, and a titled device can be made small-sized.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a recording and reproducing device, and particularly to a device that performs recording and reproducing by pulling out a tape from a cassette. The present applicant has previously developed a tape cassette that is smaller than a standard tape cassette. , and an adapter used to attach this small tape cassette to a standard type recording/playback device.
We also proposed a compact recording/playback device into which this compact tape cassette could be installed. The present invention relates to this compact recording/reproducing device.

In a standard type recording/reproducing device and a standard type tape cassette, a light emitting part of the tape end detection means for optically detecting the tape end is provided to protrude into the cassette mounting part, and the light emitting part is provided to be relatively inserted into the mounted tape cassette. The configuration is as follows. For this reason, the cassette has a space for fitting the light emitting part as the center wall, which takes up an extra area, and with the current structure, it is difficult to make the cassette sufficiently compact. Therefore, in order to reduce the size of the cassette, it is conceivable to arrange the light emitting section outside the cassette mounting section in the plan view.

By arranging the light emitting section in this manner, a space for fitting the light emitting section in the cassette becomes unnecessary, and the cassette can be made smaller by that amount. However, if the light emitting part is simply provided outside the cassette mounting part, the light emitting part may interfere with the tape loading operation, or the tape end detection means may detect the tape end with the tape cassette mounted. There was a problem that they became equivalent.

Before the start of the tape loading operation, the ball support stand 14 is in the position inside the cassette mounting agent 4, and the arm 35b of the holder 35 is locked with the engagement rod 37, and the clock is rotated against the spring 47. (shown by the two-dot button line in Figure 81). Therefore, the support lens <-3Q is rotated counterclockwise by the spring 48 and is in contact with the stopper 49a as shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG.
The tape 19 is located at a position P1 recessed into the small cassette 10, and is at a position considerably lower than the height at which the lower edge of the tape 19 pulled out from the small cassette 10 is raised. Pole support stand 14 during tape loading operation

-Look at the situation. While this operation is in progress, the light emitting source 5 is not held at the raised position P2, and the light emitting source 5 is lowered slightly before the contracting tape loop crosses the light emitting source 5. That is, in the final stage of the tape unloading operation, the L-shaped lever 35 with the engaging rod 37 rotated counterclockwise.
Knead the lever 35 by pressing the arm 35a.
Rotate it clockwise against screw 47. In response to the rotation of the lever 35, the support lever 30 is pulled by the spring 48 and rotated counterclockwise to the position where it is engaged with the stopper 49a, and the light emitting source 5 is lowered at position P1. Move outside the tape loop that is being reduced. Tape 19 is at position P
The tape is pulled back through the upper side of the light emitting source 5 which has been lowered to 3 and stored in the small cassette 10, and the tape unropping ink is carried out without being disturbed by the light emitting source 5.

Also, looking at the relationship between the light rays 45 and 46 emitted from the light emitting source 5 and the corresponding sensors 40 and 41,
The light emitting source 5 is at position P1. When at P3, ray 45.
46 is removed from the sensors 40 and 41, and the sensor 40,
41 is equivalent to detecting the magnetic tape without receiving light, and even if the tape end detection circuit, line, - is in the operating state, the tape loading operation is started without any problem. Light source 5
When it reaches position P2 and enters the formed tape loop, the light beams 45 and 46 can enter the corresponding sensors 40 and 41, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, and the tape end detection means becomes actually operational.

Therefore, there is no need for a means for electrically rendering the tape end detection means inoperable before the start of tape loading and enabling the tape end detecting means later than the start of the tape loading operation. Furthermore, when the end of the tape is detected when the light emitting lights m and 5 reach position P2, the tape loading operation is immediately stopped and an unloading operation is performed based on instructions programmed in the microcomputer in advance. It is stored in a small cassette 10 with lζ turns. Therefore, an accident in which the tape loading operation progresses unnecessarily and the joint between the magnetic tape section and the transparent tape section comes into contact with the drum 3 and damages the video head is reliably prevented.

Further, in the above embodiment, the light emitting source passes through the tape loop, but on the contrary, the light emitting source is fixedly provided outside the loop, and the light receiving section enters the loop. Of course, it can also cause cramps.

As described above, the recording/reproducing device according to the present invention is attached to a drum that pulls out a cassette loaded with a tape by a tape loading means, and is attached to a recording/reproducing device.
An optical tape end detection means is arranged outside the cassette loading section in a plan view and detects the end of the tape that has not been pulled out of the cassette, and an optical tape ejection means is adapted to the operation of the tape loading means. Relatedly, since the structure includes a means for moving the tape so as not to obstruct the passage of the tape during loading and unloading,
The tape end detection means can be disposed outside the cassette mounting section without any problems, and the light emitting source of the tape end detection means of the cassette, which is required in the conventional case where the tape end detection means is provided inside the cassette mounting section, can be accommodated. This eliminates the need for additional space for tape loading, making it possible to effectively reduce the size of the cassette. Moreover, since the optical tape end detection means cannot actually operate due to its position before tape loading begins, the tape end There is no need for a means for rendering the detecting means inoperable until the tape loading means operates and a portion of the tape is pulled out of the cassette, and the apparatus has the advantage of being simple.
