Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a joy stick type switch having high sensitivity and high reliability, by superposing two permanent magnets in a repulsing state, and forming a magnetism generating body. CONSTITUTION:Cylindrical permanent magnets 12, 13 being in a repulsing state are provided so as to coincide with an axial core of an operating body 11, in a cavity part of a spherical resin body 15. A lead switch 17 provided on a part of a supporting member 19 is made to execute an on-off operation against an inclined angle theta from the center position of the operating body 11. A repulsing state is generated by a magnetism generating body 14 by two polymerized magnets and a pair of contact parts of the lead switch 17, and the switch 17 is opened. When this position is changed, a magnetic field from one magnet operates on the pair of contact parts, absorptivity operates, and the switch 17 is closed. The inclined angle theta of the operating body during this time is obtained in a slight difference, and the sensitivity is raised remarkably.

BACKGROUND ART Joystick devices are widely used to convert the direction of the operating desk 4 into electrical signals. For example, a joystick system as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has been proposed, in which the inclination angle of the operating culm is detected by a magnetic sensor. In this case, a magnetoelectric conversion element is used as the magnetic sensor. This joystick device is mounted on a printed circuit board (1) and connected to an interface circuit (not shown), and integrates an operation stick (2) and a cylindrical water-filled magnet (3) with a resin sphere (4). The connected spherical rotating member (5) and the reed switch (5) which rotatably supports this rotating member (5).
6) and a supporting member (8) consisting of a resin case body (7). Therefore, by moving the rotating part paulownia (5), the magnetic direction of the permanent magnet (3) is changed to turn the reed switch (6) as a magneto-electric conversion element ON-OFF to form a switch tube.

However, in the joystick type switch described above, the /ζ reed switch (
6) In the 0N-OFF operation WtJ, a remarkable hysteresis characteristic appears. A relatively large difference in the tilt angle remains between the operating position k(oN) and the open position (OFF) with respect to the tilt angle of the operating rod (2), resulting in a decrease in sensitivity and reliability. That is, as shown in Figure 3, the permanent magnet (3)
The magnetic flux (shown by the dashed line) concentrates through the magnetic path of the reed switch (6) and closes the reed contact, but the contact state is maintained by the holding force of the reed against the rotation of the magnet. It becomes difficult to open.

According to the present invention, the permanent magnet is composed of a spherical rotating member including an operating body and a magnetizing body, and a supporting member that supports the rotating member and houses a reed switch, and the magnetizing bodies overlap each other in a repulsive direction. A joystick-type switch is disclosed. Here, the feature of the present invention lies in the magnetizing body constructed by stacking two permanent magnets in a state of repulsion, which allows the reed switch to be moved to a sensitive position (ON or OFF operation) and a non-sensitive position (OFF or ON operation). This reduces the difference, thereby providing high sensitivity and high reliability to the switch operation in response to the movement of the operating body. In other words, in the joystick type switch devices shown in Figures 1 to 3M that use a single permanent magnet, it took approximately 200 seconds to operate the 0N-OFF operation of the reed switch with a change in the tilt angle of 〇μ. On the other hand, the joystick type switch of the unfired W1 was able to operate satisfactorily even within 10 degrees.

It is constituted by a supporting part (19) consisting of a field. This switch is mounted on a suitable printed circuit board 00) and used as an input device for an electronic game device equipped with a microcomputer. Here, the feature of the present invention is that the cylindrical permanent magnets 0 and 2 are placed in the hollow part of the spherical resin body (+5) in a reciprocated state in alignment with the axis of the operating body (1). Operate N-oFF. Therefore, the magnet formed by the two superimposed magnets becomes repulsive at the phantom contact point of the magnet generator ('41 and reed switch (7)) shown in Figure 6, causing the switch to be released. When this changes, a strong magnetic field from one of the magnets acts on the pair of contact parts, creating an attractive force and closing the switch. The inclination angle of the operating body during this time is shown in the switch operation characteristic diagram shown in Figure 7. As shown in FIG.

However, it goes without saying that detection in a specific direction can be satisfied with a specific reed switch, such as using one reed switch for one direction. Also,

It is determined regarding the FF operation, but when the magnet (14) is arranged at the center of the spherical rotating member (one phrase), it is recommended that the reed switch (+7) be arranged at a position different from the center line plane by the dimension a. Preferably, this dimension a is 1.5.

FIG. 7 is a graph showing the inclination angle of the operating body or operating stick and switch operation (ON-OFF) in a joystick type switch using a reed switch. In the figure, the dotted lines (22) are the open (OFF) operating point and the touching (ON) operating point of the switch device, which is the premise of Figure 2, and the solid lines (23) and (24) are the main points of Figure 4. The opening (OFF) and touching (ON) operating points of the switch of the invention are shown, and the values actually measured for four reed switches with a four-way V-distribution are plotted and shown. As is clear from this characteristic diagram, when one permanent magnet is used, 0N-O
While the difference in the tilt angle of the FF operating point is about 20 degrees,
This is achieved within 10 degrees when using all two water-filled magnets of the present invention. The maximum inclination angle of the operating body (1) used here is approximately 40 degrees, and it is possible to provide a switch that generates an electrical signal depending on the rotational position of the operating body (1).
