Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent air enclosure and remove present air when an X-ray is held, by forming a projecting surface in such a direction that the surface contacts the X-ray sensitizing screen of a rear cover. CONSTITUTION:An X-ray film is disposed between sensitizing screens 4 and 5. The rear cover is made of a nearly cylindrically curved elastic panel in order to press a film holding plate 1 and the rear cover 2. The rear cover 2 has a convex engagement surface and this elastic panel has an internal surface covered with a foamed material cushion 3 which has uniform thickness and uniform density. Therefore, when the rear cover 2 supported by a projection part 20 is closed, the X-ray film is placed between the sensitizing screens 4 and 5 and the film is pressed successively into tight contact while discharging air without enclosing.
