及び8に原fU pの端部か検出されるとその動作は全
て停止され原稿把持板1及び2は同図(c)の如くスプ
リング拐6の働きにより閉じる。この状態において原稿
Pの端部は原稿把持板I及び2の先端部に設けられた弾
性摩擦部材90間に挾み込まれている。以上の様にして
原稿把持板l及び2に挾み込まれた原稿I)は同図(d
)に矢印Eで示す方向へ搬送されてゆき次に同図(e)
で示す位置すなわち原稿読取位置で停止させられる。こ
の動作は図示されない位置検出手段Vこよって行われる
。そしてこの位置において原稿の読取面かプラテンガラ
ス上面50に接し易くするため一定の角度になるまでア
ーム11を回転させる。そして原稿の読取動作か行われ
る。以−4二の様にして読取の終了した原稿l)は同図
(f)で示す如くアームIliおこして再び矢印E方向
へと1般送され、同図(g)に示す原稿排紙位置に達す
ると、図示されない位置検出手段によって停止せられる
