Abstract

PURPOSE:To smoothly guide transfer paper even if the paper thickness varies, and to enhance image quality of a copy, by fixing one end of an elastic member for guiding the paper to one of upper and lower guide plates, and bringing the other end into contact with the forward end of the other guide plate. CONSTITUTION:One end of an elastic member 4 for guiding the transfer paper is fixed to the upper guide plate 2 and the other end is held in contact with the forward end of the lower guide plate 3. The transfer paper P travels forward in the arrow direction while releasing the contact between the member 4 and the plate 3. The end of the paper P is guided along the end of the plate 3 by the pressing force of the member 4, and arrives at the prescribed transfer point of a photoreceptor 1 without colliding against it. Since the forward end of the paper P is corrected in the direction, and contacts with the photoreceptor 1, stains on the reverse side of the paper and deficiency of transfer are prevented even if thickness of the paper P varies.

一般に電子写真複写機においては、現像部において感光
ドラム上に形成されたトナー像を転写部において転写帯
電装置により転写紙に転写するようになっている。この
転写工程を行う友めに転写部に転写紙を供給する転写紙
案内装置が設けられているが、従来の転写紙案内装置は
第1図に示すように転写紙を感光体ドラム(1)上に案
内するための上案内板(2)と下案内板(3)とを有し
ている。しがしながらこの上下案内板の間隔は普通紙等
の標準紙(坪量50〜65 K? )に合わせであるの
〒葉書等の厚紙(坪j1180〜200Kf)’に供給
するときには厚紙の円滑な走行が困難となって来る。ま
た厚紙の走行を円滑にするために上下案内板の間隔を大
きくすれば、普通紙等を供給したときに供給された紙の
前縁が感光ドラム上のトナー像に接触して転写紙前縁裏
面のトナー汚染や転与像のlI!ii暫低下を来す不都
合が発生する。

ば金属箔、プラスチックフィルム、または針金を長方形
VC彎曲させたもの等で形成することができる。
