DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Technical Field of the Invention) The present invention relates to a method for connecting conductors of an internal cooling cable useful for linearly connecting conductors of an internal cooling cable having a sealed metal pipe inside the conductor.

(Technical background of the invention and its problems) Recently, as shown in FIG.
A so-called internal cooling cable 6 has been used on a trial basis, with a circulation passage 5,5' for a refrigerant 4 such as Freon provided therebetween, with one side serving as an outgoing path and the other as a returning path.

Incidentally, in this type of cable, a sealed metal pipe is used as the refrigerant passage 5 provided at the center of the conductor. This is to prevent the refrigerant 4 such as Freon sealed therein from leaking to the outside.

Therefore, when connecting internal cooling cables with such a configuration in a straight line, the sealed metal pipes must also be connected airtightly.

Conventionally, conductor connections of such cables have been made as follows. That is, as shown in Figure 2,
First, the reinforcing tube 8 is inserted into the pair of sealed metal pipes 7.7' so as to straddle the reinforcing pipes, and the abutting portions of the sealed metal pipes 7.7' are welded. Next, the pair of conductors 9 and 9' are compressed and connected from the radial direction with the sleeve 10 disposed outside the abutting portion.

However, in such a conductor connection method, the axial expansion of the sleeve and the conductor that occurs when the sleeve 10 is compressed causes the sealed metal pipe to simultaneously expand in the axial direction, which reduces the wall thickness of the sealed metal pipe and causes the inside of the pipe to expand. This had the disadvantage that it could not withstand the internal pressure of the refrigerant that was sealed in it.

(Objective of the Invention) The present invention has been made with attention to the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for connecting conductors of internal cooling cables that allows airtight connection of sealed metal pipes and does not reduce the wall thickness of the pipes themselves. It is something to do.

(Summary of the Invention) In the present invention, the above object is achieved by cutting both the connection ends of the sealed metal pipe and the conductor, and then welding them together.

(Embodiment of the Invention) The present invention will be described below based on the drawings of one embodiment. In FIG. 3, in which the same parts as in FIG. 2 are given the same numbers, a pair of conductors 9.9' to be connected have a sealed metal pipe 7.7' such as an aluminum pipe or copper pipe on the inner periphery. After the connecting ends are butted together, they are cut together into a V-shape together with the sealed metal pipe. For example, a welding rod (not shown) is placed in the cut V-shaped valley, and the welding rod is melted by the arc current generated between the welding rod and the conductor, and the welding operation is completed by repeating this operation.

Furthermore, if the sealed metal pipe is made of an aluminum pipe and the conductor is made of an aluminum conductor, that is, if both are made of the same material, the same welding rod can be used and the conductor and the sealed metal pipe can be welded together. There are advantages.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, in the present invention, since the conductor and the sealed metal pipe are cut at once and both are welded at once, the conductor connection portion does not stretch.

Therefore, according to the present invention, there is no risk that the wall thickness of the hermetically sealed metal pipe will become thinner, so an internal cooling cable that can withstand a predetermined refrigerant filling pressure can be provided.

Further, in the present invention, since the conductor and the sealed metal pipe can be welded together at once, the connection work can be performed more quickly than before.
