理装置との間でデータの転送を行なわせしめ、前記デー
タ記録トラック上には、このトラックが使用可能か否か
を示す状態情報、およびこのトラックが使用不可の場合
にその代替トラックの位置情報を記録しておき、欠陥の
あるトラックにあたった場合、前記状態または位置情報
を元に前記代替トラックに切替えアクセスする様な磁気
記憶装置に於て、現用トラックと代替トラックの物理的
配置に関し、予備トラックを前記現用トラック群の中に
散在して割り振り、前記現用トラックに欠陥を生じた時
に、最もそのトラックに近い位置にある前記予備トラッ
クを前記現用トラックに対する代替トラックとして使用
するように構成したことを特徴とする交代トラック方式
