This temperature control device has the disadvantage that when a component breaks down, temperature control becomes impossible and the temperature of the planar heater rises to an abnormal level, causing a fire. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to control the temperature of a sheet heater using a temperature control device, but even if this temperature control device malfunctions and the temperature of the sheet heater rises to an abnormal temperature, the surface heater can be reliably controlled. To provide an electric floor heater that can cut off power to a heater.

In order to achieve such an object, the present invention provides an AC power source, a planar heater for floor heating, and an earth leakage/disconnector with a trip coil that cuts off power to the planar heater when energized. and a temperature detection section that is thermally coupled to this sheet heater and turns on and off depending on the temperature of this sheet heater and outputs a temperature detection signal, and a temperature detection section that operates upon receiving this temperature detection signal and flows to the sheet heater. A temperature control device consisting of a power control unit that controls current is thermally coupled to a sheet heater, and one or more pieces are arranged depending on the width of the sheet heater, so that the temperature of the sheet heater can be adjusted locally. The device is equipped with a temperature control switch that turns on when the temperature rises to an abnormal level and reaches the switching temperature to energize a trip coil for leakage or disconnection, and will be described in detail below using examples.

Next, the operation of the electric floor heater according to the above configuration will be explained. First, when the power control section 5 of the temperature control device 7 is operating normally, the power of the AC power source 1 is applied to the planar heater 3 through the leakage circuit or the disconnector 2 .

Therefore, this planar heater 3 rises to a predetermined temperature.
On the other hand, when the planar heater 3 rises to a predetermined temperature, the temperature control device 7 is activated and turned off. Therefore, the supply of electric power to the planar heater 3 is stopped, and the temperature of the planar heater 3 decreases. Then, as the temperature of the sheet heater 3 decreases, the temperature control device 7 is turned on again, and power is supplied to the sheet heater 3. In this way, the planar heater 3 is maintained at a predetermined temperature by on/off control of the temperature control device 7. Next, if the power control unit 5 of the temperature control device 7, for example, the triax, is damaged for some reason, or if other circuit parts are damaged, the temperature of the planar heater 3 rises to an abnormal temperature. We will also explain the actions that can be taken to effectively prevent a fire from occurring.

When the temperature of the planar heater 3 rises to an abnormal temperature and reaches the switching temperature, the temperature control switch 6 is turned on. Due to the operation of the temperature control switch 6, the trip coil 8 of the circuit breaker 2 is energized. For this reason,
When the current leaks, the circuit breaker 2 operates, and the alternating current voltage applied to the sheet heater 3 can be cut off. Therefore, the temperature of the planar heater 3 decreases, and dangers such as fire due to abnormal overheating can be prevented. It goes without saying that the set temperature of the temperature control switch 6 may be adjusted depending on the type of the planar heater 3. Once this electrical leakage occurs or the disconnector 2 operates, the sheet heater 3 will be activated unless it is turned on manually.
Even if the temperature drops, power will not be supplied. As explained above in detail, according to the electric floor heater according to the present invention, (4) a part of the temperature control device is destroyed or disconnected due to surge voltage, etc., and the temperature control device becomes uncontrollable. Even if power is continuously supplied to the planar heater, leakage or disconnection will occur before the temperature reaches an abnormal state, thereby preventing the occurrence of a fire. (B) Before the temperature becomes abnormal, there is a current leakage or a circuit disconnector is activated, but once this current leakage or circuit disconnector is activated, the power remains cut off and an abnormality suddenly occurs. Not only can this information be notified, but it can also improve safety. (C) Since the current leakage or disconnection circuit is directly used for overheating or disconnection, it has the effect of simplifying the circuit configuration.
