ク両側端を撓ませて切削する技術が開示されているが、
前述の如く切削工具たるミリングカッターはその回転軸
が搬送通路上を搬送される缶胴ブランクに水平平行に調
節設定された上で、しかも当該ミリンガカツターによる
切削時に缶胴ブランク両側端は撓む結果、ミリングカッ
ターで切削される部分の内でも搬送通路内方へ、即ち、
ミリングカッターの先端へ向う程深く切削されるという
問題点があつた。本発明は前記従来の問題点に鑑み、缶
胴ブランク両側端の均一切削性の同上を図つた缶胴ブラ
ンク側端清浄法を提供せんとするものである。

かも、側端部の切削工具との接触は切削工具を傾斜設置
した結果撓み始め予定箇所から最側先端に亘り、即ち切
削所望幅全てに亘りムラなく均一な接触が確保され、従
来の如く切削深さにムラが生じることなく均一切削とな
る。
