Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of entire printing with reduction in the man-hour of rechecking by arranging an abnormality printing distinguishable from the printing of printable characters for reception of a non-printable character code to enable immediate spotting of detective locations in a printing equipment which has a type medium holding limited types of characters and comprises a circuit for collating memory information and a hammer drive circuit for driving a hammer to print. CONSTITUTION:When printing information is received, the contents of a memory 8 is checked with a checking circuit 11. When printing is possible, the information is inputted into a memory 9 as intact and a hammer is driven with a hammer drive circuit 12 through a collation circuit 10. When the information received is found to be nonprintable, it is once converted into a printable information. Immediately after the printing is ended in the current printing cycle, another information is inputted into the memory 9 again for overlap printing. This enables immediate spotting of rejected locations to prevent confusion with blank processing.

(d) Structure and object of the invention According to the present invention, the present invention has a print medium accommodating limited character types, a memory for storing print information of the print medium, a memory for storing received print information, and a memory for storing received print information. In a printing device consisting of a circuit that collates memory information and a hammer drive circuit that drives one hammer to print, when the memory that stores the print information receives print information, the print information and the print information in the print information memory are combined. and, when the check circuit detects a character that is not stored in the print medium, selects several types of arbitrary characters in the print medium from the print information memory for the received digit of the character. This is achieved by providing a printing device that is characterized by overlapping printing.

Reference numeral 11 indicates a printability check circuit, and reference numeral 12 indicates a hammer drive circuit. Type belt information is stored in the memory 8, and when the print information is received, a check circuit 11 is provided which checks the print information and the type belt information in the memory 8.
If it is possible to print (the printing information is included in the printed belt information), the current information is stored in the memory 9 and the collation circuit 10 prints the Zino 1 image to the No. 1 image. It is driven by a drive circuit 12. If the check circuit 11 detects a character that is not accommodated in the type belt, one of the appropriate type belt information items from the type belt information memory 8 is stored in the memory 9 for the received digit of the character. When all the information for one line is entered into the memory 9 in this way, the printing cycle is started, the type belt information 8 and the received information 9 are compared by the matching circuit 10, and if the matching is successful, the number The printing incapability information received digits for which the 0 immediate character information that drives the normal marker in the drive circuit 12 is not included in the type belt information are also printed as described above, but the digits are printed once. When the memory 9 receives 0, that is, printing information, which is to be overprinted by putting the printing information on the printing belt different from the previous one into the memory 9, the I

In the present invention, the unprintable information receiving digits are shown as printed information T and H.
Since the regular type information is changed by printing over and over again, the location of the defect can be immediately identified, reducing the number of man-hours required for review. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent the conventional process from being indistinguishable from blank processing.

In the embodiment, when converting a non-printable character code, an arbitrary character code is selected, but this may be determined in advance. In this case, 0 or overlapping printing, which gives a clear result for any character or symbol, is described as two times, but this may also be overlapping printing two or more times.

There is also a method of preparing in advance non-printable type on the type belt 3, but this is not desirable because it reduces the number of characters that can be accommodated on the type belt.

It is clear that the present invention can be used not only in devices having a mechanical type medium such as a type belt, but also in devices having an electrical character generator that stores data in units of dots.

(f) Effects of the Invention As explained in detail above, the printing device of the present invention prints abnormal printing (overprinting) that can be distinguished from the printing of other printable characters on the digit where the unprintable character code is received. ), the defective areas can be identified immediately, the number of review steps is reduced, and the overall reliability of printing is improved. Also, unlike the conventional method, it is not difficult to distinguish it from blank processing.
