The peripheral speed of the paper ejection roller is greater than the circumferential speed of the paper feed roller by driving means for a paper feed roller and a paper ejection roller provided at the front and back in the running direction of paper having vertical perforations used in computer printers, etc. When the paper is caught in the paper ejection roller, tension is applied to the paper, and the paper is lifted from the transport plate that transports the paper between the paper feed roller and the paper ejection roller, and the paper is moved. The paper is cut by bringing the paper into contact with horizontal perforations provided at regular intervals perpendicular to the running direction of the paper. In the paper cutting device, the vertical perforations are placed on both sides of the vertical perforations. The rollers are arranged approximately equidistantly from each other with respect to the opening, and are adjustable in position from the paper ejection roller so as to substantially match the transverse perforations of the paper, and are positioned below the level of the lifted paper.
