Abstract

PURPOSE:To weld lugs correctly at predetermined positions in the process to fix the lugs to a tension band or a heat-shrunk band fitted around the sides of a panel of a cathode ray tube, by non-contact heating with a laser beam or the like. CONSTITUTION:The tension band 12 is fitted around the sides of the cathode ray tube panel 11, and then, a lug 13 is fixed by laser welding to the band at the position corresponding to each of four corners of the panel, after being correctly positioned by means of a jig. ことが出来る。
