The disadvantage of this type is that when a pair of counter-moving knives pass each other, care must be taken to ensure that the rigidity, which is moved downward from the upper to the lower lever position, is not grasped by the rising knife. However, in order to ensure that this condition is met, the control of the pushing motion of the vertical nail by the horizontal needle must be maintained until the time when the pair of knives pass each other, and therefore, in order to maintain this, This creates an unfavorable state of motion in the reading mechanism, which requires approximately half a shed stroke, corresponding to approximately 180 degrees of crankshaft rotation, to move the transverse needle along with the card, and its maintenance over such a long period of time. This causes a large amount of friction at the point of contact between the horizontal needle and the vertical nail, which has a disadvantageous effect on the movement of the vertical nail and the horizontal needle that presses it.

In order to overcome this drawback, there are some types in which a pair of counter-moving knives are shifted vertically so that they do not pass each other, but this requires an extra length of illumination. This is by no means an advantageous solution, since it has the effect of increasing the instability of its motion and increases the overall height of the machine accordingly.

However, in this type of known solution, the knife is arranged parallel to the cross needle, and the push adjustment control movement of the illuminated cross needle is carried out along the longitudinal axis of the knife. This is a requirement, and in this respect the structure is fundamentally different from the previously known conventional Jacquard machine, in which the knife was arranged at right angles to the horizontal needle.
Not only does this result in structural complexity and inconveniences in machine installation and handling, but
The biggest drawback is that the pitch of the horizontal needle or the pitch of the illumination, which corresponds to the perforation pitch in the row direction of the card to perform the reading movement of the horizontal needle, is determined by the arrangement interval of the knives, so the perforation pitch dimension of the card is In order to make the width dimension of the card in the perforation row direction, which is defined by this, smaller than that of the previously known conventional Jacquard machine, it became necessary to form the knife from a fairly thin plate bar material. Because it is long and cannot form any support at the middle part other than both ends, it does not have sufficient strength, and it is easy to bend, causing problems in reliable movement and high-speed operation. It is a possibility.

The object of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks of the knife of the type known from the specification of JP-A-52-21462, to make the knife thicker and to sufficiently increase its strength. Moreover, the pitch of the horizontal needles and illuminators corresponding to the perforation pitch in the card row direction can be made considerably smaller, thereby ensuring reliable movement and high-speed operation, and further increasing the efficiency of the machine. It is.

According to the present invention, the knife driving member for receiving and engaging the main hook of the illuminator is not provided directly on the knife, but is provided on a plate-like member attached to the knife. The plate has a surface perpendicular to the knife and is a tongue-like body projecting obliquely upward to the side of the plane of the entraining member, the free range being between the knife and the entraining member. This is achieved by arranging the knife in a direction transverse (perpendicular) to the transverse needle.

In short, the light is pushed and adjusted by the main needle in a direction perpendicular to the length direction of the knife on the surface of the plate-like member in that direction. If it is placed in the free range formed in the plane of the plate-shaped element between it and the driving element, the illumination remains in its basic position without the main hook being received in the driving element.

Therefore, the direction in which the knife crosses the horizontal needle (perpendicular direction)
Since the knives are arranged at a very large pitch, the spacing between the knives can be set fairly large without being affected by the pitch of the horizontal needles and illuminators, which corresponds to the perforation pitch in the row direction of the leading edge. It can be made thick and durable.

Moreover, the entraining member for receiving and engaging the main hook of the illumination is an individual plate-shaped member of a size that is not so large but is attached to the knife in parallel with the horizontal needle, intersecting (orthogonal to) the knife. Since each plate-like member can be made quite thin without much problem in terms of strength, it can be attached at a fairly small pitch, and this allows the pitch of horizontal needles and vertical nails corresponding to the perforation pitch in the row direction of the card to be made quite small. It can be done.

Furthermore, the fact that the entraining member is not provided directly on the knife but on the plate member reduces damage to the knife;
This contributes to making it easier to adjust the attachment pitch or arrangement pitch of the vertical nails and horizontal needles as well as the plate-like members, and to facilitate their individual inspection, repair, and replacement.

In any case, a vertical nail is made to exist between a pair of adjacent knives, between adjacent portions of the plate-like members from those knives that protrude in opposite directions, and the plate-like members Adjacent parts of the protruding parts between the two knives are provided so as to protrude oppositely from the sides of the vertical nail correspondingly to the respective driving members that protrude so as to face each other. The two main hooks are brought into appropriate receiving engagement to carry out the entrainment when changing the shed position of the vertical nail, while the horizontal needle pushes the vertical nail in a direction transverse (orthogonal) to the length of the knife. 2 when the main hook of the vertical peg is moved along the plate into a free range due to the overhanging distance between its knife and the driving member.
None of the two main hooks are in receiving engagement with the entraining member and are not entrained.

Here, the distance between the tips of the two main hooks that protrude in opposite directions from the sides of the vertical nail is the distance between the adjacent parts of the parts of the plate member that protrude in opposite directions between the knives. As in the case where each plate-like member is made to exist at the same location by matching the attachment pitch on each knife, it is necessary to provide a gap between the opposing overhanging portions of a pair of knives so that they do not come into contact with each other, and therefore, the If the opposing protruding driving members of the protruding parts require an interval that is offset from each other in the direction that intersects the knife, the two main hooks of the vertical nail must also be spaced apart from each other to the left and right in accordance with this. It is provided so as to protrude from opposite sides of the vertical nail.

When the locking knife is placed parallel to the horizontal needle, a slope for mounting the locking hook is formed by bending or punching a part of the knife so that it protrudes to the side of the locking knife and forms a diagonally upward hook. A locking member consisting of a tongue-shaped body with a hole is provided above the locking knife, and a space such as a recess is provided on the upper side of the locking member. Provided as a hook-shaped item that protrudes from the side of the vertical nail,
As a result, when the locking hook is placed on the mounting surface of the locking member, the locking hook slides on the mounting surface due to the load applied to the vertical nail, and the locking hook and locking knife are separated. It can be fitted into the space and the vertical nail touches the locking knife.
