A hole is formed to the pedestal 19 on approximately the same axis of the screw part at the outer circumference together with an opening formed at the side of the screw 8. A feed pin 20 is fitted with no gap to the hole of the pedestal 19 and movably toward the shaft, and the spherical tip part of the pin 20 is protruded through the hole of the pedestal 19 and fitted to the groove of the screw 8. A compression spring 21 is put into the hole of the pedestal 19, and therefore the pin 20 is energized with a fixed level of pressure toward the groove of the pin 20. A holding plate 22 is bonded to the pedestal 19 and has its inner diameter smaller than the hole of the pedestal 19 to receive the energizing force applied to the pin 20 by the spring 21. Thus a magnetic head 4 is shifted with high accuracy for reading a magnetic recording/reproducing sheet 1.
