In automobile harness circuits, electronic circuit elements such as diodes and resistors are sometimes inserted, and these circuit elements can be mounted using a number of methods similar to those disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 53-47593. This method is known.

For example, as shown in FIGS. 1a and 1b, the method of molding an element 1 and inserting it with terminals 2 is a relatively new method.

In the case of Fig. 1a, the molded part 4 is formed around the element 1 after the terminal 2 with which the element 1 is crimped and connected is inserted into the housing 3, and in the case of Fig. 1b, the element 1 is crimped and connected with the terminal 2. A mold portion 4 is later formed on the element 1.

Since these have a molded portion 4 and the like, they are effective from the standpoint of protecting the element 1 from external impact, but there are problems such as loosening of the element lead wire crimp connection portion of the terminal 2 due to mechanical vibration or the like.

Furthermore, when an excessive current flows and the element 1 generates heat, its molded portion is likely to be thermally burnt out, and surrounding harnesses and other equipment may also catch fire.

Furthermore, it is impossible to visually confirm the element 1 which has become defective due to these causes, and the discovery of the cause of the failure tends to be delayed.
