When supplying wire rods to heading machines such as headers and homers, conventionally the wire rods are wound into coils and placed one turn at a time on a supply stand, and then fed into fixed lengths by a feeding device such as a feed roller. When one winding of wire is used up, a new winding of wire is loaded onto the supply stand, and the starting end of the winding is pushed into the feeding device to restart operation. The speed at which wire is consumed has increased significantly as speeds have increased, but the length of one turn of wire cannot exceed a certain level due to manufacturing and transportation reasons, so one turn of wire has become shorter. This was time-consuming and required frequent loading of new wire onto the supply stand, which hindered the realization of long-term unmanned continuous operation.

The connection structure of the wire rods by the connector 9 will be explained with reference to FIG. 2. The winding end of the first or second wire material AI, A2 is diameter-reduced to form a left-handed male thread 7, and the second or third wire rod Wire rod A2. The winding start end of A3 is diameter-reduced to form a right-handed male thread 8 and are butted against each other, and a left-handed female thread 12 is formed at one end and a right-handed female thread 11 is formed at the other end. Internal threads 11 on both sides of a cylindrical connector 9 with knurling 13 on the outer periphery of approximately the same diameter,
12 is screwed onto the male threads 7 and 8 at the ends of each wire A to connect them.

As specifically explained in the above embodiments, the method for continuously feeding wire rods in a heading machine according to the present invention involves cutting wire rods into a certain length, loading the material into a die, and pressing the material with a punch to perform heading forming. In this method of supplying wire to a heading machine, the starting and ending ends of a single turn of wire wound into a coil are warped, and a right-handed male thread is attached to one end, and a left-handed male thread is attached to the other end. forming male threads respectively, abutting the winding end end of one turn of the wire rod against the winding start end of another turn of the wire rod, and forming female screws with left and right opposite twists at both ends;
and by threading and coupling each of the female threads of the connector, which has an outer diameter approximately the same as that of each of the wire rods, to the male thread of each of the wire rods, thereby continuously supplying two or more turns of the wire rod to the heading machine. The main idea is that the winding start end and winding end of two wire rods are butted together via a connector, and when this connector is rotated in one direction, the wire rods on both sides are screwed together by the left and right reverse twisting screws. The ends are pulled together and firmly connected, and the outer diameter of the connector is made to be approximately the same as each wire rod, so it does not get in the way even when fed into the heading machine, allowing continuous operation of the heading machine for long periods of time. This provides an effect that can be easily realized.
