DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a sliding contact used in connectors in general, and in particular to the structure of a sliding contact subjected to base metal surface treatment.

Conventionally, spring contacts with various shapes of bosses and cutouts have been used to maintain the stability of electrical continuity through contact (hereinafter referred to as contact stability) in connectors, etc., but when inserted, The load characteristics of the spring deteriorated, and there were other problems related to stress, which was undesirable.

Generally, the surface of the contact portion 3 is treated with a noble metal such as gold.

In this case, relatively little contact pressure is required, but since surface treatment with noble metals increases the price, surface treatments with base metals such as tin and lead have become popular in recent years.

However, in order to obtain stable contact resistance with a base metal surface-treated contact, a relatively high contact pressure is required, or it is necessary to increase the contact pressure per unit area by using edge contact.

Figure 2 shows a conventional example of edge contact, in which the edge contact part 8 is perpendicular to the spring axis (sliding direction), so the sliding contact 1□
When inserting a connector, the spring load suddenly increases at the edge, requiring a high insertion force, which has the disadvantage of making it difficult to insert and remove the connector.

The present invention aims to eliminate these drawbacks and provide a sliding contact structure that maintains contact stability without degrading the spring load characteristics.

以下図面について本考案を詳細に説明する。The present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings below.

When the sliding contact 13 is inserted into the connector, it comes into sliding contact with the contact portion 6 of the connector terminal 5, but since the contact portion 9 has an edge shape, the contact pressure per unit area is large and stable contact resistance is obtained. In addition, since the taper α of the cut-and-raise is in the forward direction with respect to the insertion direction, the load characteristics of the spring are smooth and do not increase rapidly.

FIG. 6 shows another embodiment of the contactor of the present invention, in which the sliding contactor 14 is provided with an edge-shaped extrusion 10 along the sliding direction, and the contact pressure per unit area of the contact portion is high. Good stability.

In addition, the extrusion 10 is tapered in the forward direction relative to the insertion direction, so that the spring load characteristics are good, as in the case of FIG.

As described above, the present invention provides a tapered edge-shaped convex part along the sliding direction at the contact part of the spring, which improves the stability of the contact, but also reduces the deterioration of the load characteristics of the spring during insertion. It has a great effect of preventing the connector from being damaged and smoothing the insertion and removal of the connector.
