Claims

A movable stand 6 for attaching a grinding wheel is provided, which can move forward and backward in the radial direction with respect to a disc-shaped workpiece supported on a rotating shaft 1, and an elevation regulation guide bar 9 and an elevation guide bar 8 are provided on the movable base 6. The lifting guide bar 8 is slidably inserted into the piston rod 14a of the fluid pressure cylinder 14 provided on the fixed frame 11 via the spring 15, and the lifting regulating guide bar 9 is fitted into the dog 16 provided on the piston rod 14a. An apparatus for grinding the outer circumferential surface of a disc-shaped workpiece, characterized in that a limit switch 17 is provided which comes into contact with the limit switch 17 to restrict the sliding of the piston rod 14a.
