Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the movement of a human body in the detection area under monitoring in an electric field type detector for human body having plural independent detection wires by connecting the detection wires under no monitoring to the ground. CONSTITUTION:Respective objects XA, XB, XC to be monitored are divided by blocks, and the respective blocks are enclosed with detection wires 1A, 1B, 1C to set detection areas A, B, C. The respective detection wires are introduced through shielded wires 9A, 9B, 9C to a detector body 10 via selection switches SWA, SWB, SWC. The selection switches are constituted of changeover switches, and are connected on one side to the body 10 and the other to the ground side. Interlocking switches SWA', SWB', SWC' interlocking to the selection switches are provided and pilot lamps 11A, 11B, 11C which indicate the monitoring state are lighted. The detection wires under no-monitoring are connected to the ground, whereby the false detection of the operation in the detection area thereof in the detection areas under monitoring is prevented.

The detection line (1) normally has a capacitance Cs'5 with the ground as shown by the broken line in the figure, but when the human body M approaches the position If from the position of the workpiece in the figure. Then, the capacitance CM between the detection line (1) and the human body M is added, and the capacitance of the detection line (]) becomes the sum of the ground capacitance Cs and the human body capacitance CM. By passing all of the signal, it is converted into a waveform as shown in the figure (d), and the output sound threshold circuit (8) of this bass pass filter (7) determines the level with a threshold value VTR, and the waveform is converted into the waveform shown in the figure (d). This results in an output waveform as shown in (e).

I was trying to turn on the selection switch SWB by turning on SWc and SWD. However, in this type of human body detector, a cylindrical detection space is created around the detection line (1) as shown by the dashed-dotted lines in Fig. 5(a) and (b), so the above-mentioned problem occurs. In this example, when a worker moves to the detection area A or B side when working within detection area B, this movement of the human body is detected by the detection lines (IA) (IB) of detection area A or B, causing a malfunction. There was a problem that could occur. In Fig. 5 (12+ is a support column.

The present invention has been provided in view of the above-mentioned points, and when a plurality of detection areas are installed in parallel, when selectively setting an arbitrary detection area to a monitoring state, a detection area in a non-monitoring state It is an object of the present invention to provide a human body detector that eliminates the possibility of erroneously detecting a motion inside the body in a monitoring state detection area.

Generally, in this type of human body detector, when a conductor of ground potential is installed in parallel to the detection wire (1), the expansion of the detection space of the detection wire fi+ is shielded by this conductor, and the detection space is usually cylindrical. spreads only on the anti-conductor side, resulting in directivity. Thus, in the above-mentioned embodiment, since the detection line (IB) of detection area B is dropped to the ground potential, detection areas A and C

The part (lc) has only a detection space in the direction opposite to detection area B, so even if a worker works in detection area B, the movement of this worker cannot be detected along the detection line. ('LA) (1) There is no risk of erroneous detection.

As described above, the present invention introduces and connects the detection lines of each detection area to the detector main body via the selection switch, and when these selection switches are switched to the non-selection position, each corresponding detection switch is connected to the ground side. Since the connection is systematic, when any detection area is selectively set to alert state, the movement of a person within the detection area of non-alert state will be detected in the adjacent detection area of alert state. This has the effect of improving operational reliability.
