Claims

The snap ring is attached to an end cover retaining device in which an end cover is fitted into a housing hole of a housing and a snap ring is attached to a ring groove formed at an opening of the housing hole to prevent the end cover from coming off. The ring groove is composed of an annular support surface whose inner diameter gradually increases toward the opening of the storage hole, and an annular support surface whose inner diameter gradually decreases toward the opening of the storage hole. A concave first contacting the annular support surface on the side facing the end cover with a part of the outer periphery of the snap ring.
An end cover retaining device comprising a contour line and a second contour line that extends away from the outer circumferential surface of the snap ring more rapidly than the first contour line.
