Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily correct the deflection amount of electron beams in case the vertical deflection amount of a central electron beam is less than that of both sides electron beams such that they become equal to each other by mounting an approximately L-shaped magnetic piece on the rear part of an insulating frame such that said piece is located between a pair of vertical deflecting coils. CONSTITUTION:A pair of slits 6 into which a magnetic piece 5 can be inserted is provided on the rear part of an insulating frame 1 equipped with a vertical deflecting coil 3 wound around a core 4, and the magnetic piece 5 is attached to said slit 6 movably in the arrow direction. With this constitution, it is possible to increase the deflection amount of the central electron beams by intensifying a vertical deflecting magnetic field at a position Z1 while controlling magnetic flux leakage. Further, the deflecting amount can be controlled by changing the position Z1 by shifting the position of the magnetic piece 5 in the arrow direction.
