Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease parallax and to easily obtain a sharp color image, by printing a soln. contg. a resin and a dye on the surfaces of one or both of the substrates of a liquid crystal display panel formed thereon with electrodes in a prescribed pattern thereby providing color filters. CONSTITUTION:An ink compsn. mixed with, for example, a polyimide resin, a dye of azo type or the like and a solvent is printed for each of desired colors in a prescribed pattern on the surfaces including transparent electrodes 2, 2 on transparent substrates 1, 1 of glass or the like to form color filters 3, 3. The surfaces of the filters 3, 3 are subjected to an orientation treatment and the oriented films of a liquid crystal 4 are superposed thereon. Polarization films 6, 6 are provided respectively on the outside surfaces of the substrates 1, 1. A dye may be impregnated in the films 3, 3 in a desired pattern after the formation of the resin films. The oriented films may be separately formed on the films 3, 3. The sharp image of a wide visual field is thus obtd.

Description

ガラス基板1間に液晶4を充填し、7−ル樹脂5により
密封している。なお、両ガラス基板1の外面には偏光板
6がそれぞれ装着きれている。

しているので、特に微細なカラーパターンを形成するの
に適している。
