Claims

In a compressor in which a compression element is housed in a closed container and a suction connecting pipe for connecting the suction pipe is inserted into a suction hole provided in a cylinder constituting the compression element, a strainer is installed perpendicularly to the suction hole. A hermetic compressor, characterized in that the cylinder is inserted into a suction hole of the cylinder from an end surface direction thereof.
